I dont have full attacks either and my mom doesnt like me to use an inhaler alot and what helps sometime getting fresh air, turning on the shower and breathing in the steam, and sitting and putting your head between your knees and breathing in and out slowly.

I think that is my problem. My asthm for the past month went completely out of control. I mean I went through three inhalers in four weeks. NOT GOOD. But I think at the same time I got addicted to using them. Which has happened to me before. SOOO i'm looking for ways to tough it out without my puffer

Try some coffee - supposedly caffeine can ease bronchial constriction.

If that doesn't work, let someone drop-kick you in the sternum.

Also, if you're trying to get away from inhalers I've heard that Apple cider vinegar can help asthma. Here a couple of links I found -

http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art38036.asp
http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/asthma.html
http://www.vinegarbook.co.uk/Cider_vinegar_and_Asthma.shtml

Good luck!
