Ok, I just got home and am in desperate need for some sleep, but I am going to transcribe everything I have. But before I do, I would like to say to Ladron, Thank you for waiting for us to drive there, and for being so patient when we got lost, thank you! You didn't have to do that. You are a true team player.

So I will start with the postcard. Lad will post a picture of it but for now I will just post the numbers writen on it. They are in a strange cross pattern. It looks like this:

57 41 49 54 49 4e 47 46 4f 52 2e 2e 2e

Edit....it's not showing up right up right, the numbers that are writen downward are supposed to be included in the second number (41)
So I have just posted the downward numbers seperately for now. (you will understand when you see the picture) They are:

49
20
41 (this is the 41 in the previous list)
4d

I'm sorry i couldn't get it to look right.

Now inside the dust cover of the book (which I will post about next) there was a pink post-it. It is handwriten and says:

"My father gave me all of these when I was a little girl, but they got left behind when we moved. The knowledge has always served me well, so I thought this might teach you a thing or two.

xoxo,
T"

Ok Now for the long tedious part. There was a very small hardback book with a dustcover on it. Most of the pages are marked in some way. I will give you the page number and the passage. I will then describe how the passage was marked. Also, after each passage this book tells as what original book the passages came from. First of all...Luv, you are my HERO for typing all of these up for us. Thank you!

Down to business. I think that some of these passages are extremely relevant to our situation, and can be interpreted more or less literally. A few examples:

Quote:

Pg 44:
"If you suspect an important message or map will be pilfered, make a copy and alter the facts to throw creeps off the trail. Or make a copy and send the original to a close friend for safekeeping."
(this passage was marked with a small dot next to it)

This passage, for example, is a warning and a guideline. Just because we're picking up the drops doesn't mean that the message isn't getting to the intended recipients also. ixlr8 has also pointed out that this may mean there are backup copies somewhere in case of gamejackers, and I think he makes a good point.

Quote:
Pg 46:
"When confused, sit back and try to arrange the facts into some kind of order."
(this whole passage was underlined)

This is pretty literal too. We should try doing this instead of assuming everything we don't know is encoded somewhere.

Other passages seem to be a little less cut-and-dried, but are still pretty clear:

Quote:
Pg 36:
"Come up with a clever code with your beau in case one of you is ever kidnapped."
(this passage was marked with a small dot next to it)

Does this refer to the code Tach and Brother used when Tach was undercover? I suspect so...

Quote:
Pg 38:
"When choosing between two men, take into consideration the different paths your life would take should you go with either of them."
(this passage was marked with a small dot next to it)

When we choose sides, we should think about the consequences of our actions. Nancy Drew's talking about men, but Tach's talking about secret societies.

And then, there are passages that don't seem to make any sense, or contain discredited ideas. Tach lets us know what these are by her notations:

Quote:
Pg 38:
"after receiving an electrical shock to the system, find as many men as possible to vigorously massage you."
(this passage was followed by a smiley face)

Quote:
Pg 54:
"When trying to crack a numerical code, don't rule out latitude and longitude coordinates.:
(this passage was crossed out)

There's my bit of thought. I haven't gone through every quote with a fine-toothed comb yet, but I'll keep looking.

its like she is training brother with a crash course to be more effective, as he has become sort of a joke to aphid, and even us.
