So we're reading The Chrysalides in English class. I'm only on page 34 so bare with me if I don't know everything about this book.
I was reading and there was talk of the main characters father killing all deviations.
When they kill them, they "Sing a Hymn" (actual quote, no joke) and the CEREMONY proceeds.
I just thought it was cool.
Not that it's important to the storyline.
Maybe they will sacrifice Bree.

| The Chrysalids is one of my favourite books, near the end of the book there is talk of a place called "New Sealand" aka New Zealand! |

It's such an amazing book if you look at everything for what it is.
the steam engine, the old over passes, new Zealand..... it's just great in it's entirety.
