I don't see how that makes sense at all. The video can't be faked for Daniel's sake... because he gave Jonas coffee? Here's the scenario: Jonas wakes up, fully intent on putting out a fake video. He decides that he needs to be awake and aware if he's going to pull it off convincingly enough. He goes to get coffee, has a mini confrontation with Daniel who most likely passively-aggressively "hands" him a coffee cup. Jonas gets his coffee, then goes and films exactly as planned. How does any of that not work?
Although, I just realized that maybe the video isn't fake because of the coffee cup... Maybe Jonas hadn't seen Sarah vid yet, saw Daniel in the morning, asked him to pour a cup of coffee... and Daniel did something passive aggressive like pour all the coffee down the sink and hand Jonas an empty cup. Maybe Jonas was being a dick in the video in response to that by acting as if he had a fully, tasty cup of coffee.
Or maybe I'm just way over-thinking things.

As for the purity bonds, I also think they mean nothing. But, I think they may have been invented by the Order in an attempt to help prevent their victims from developing any relationships too close. Think about it, if it hadn't been for Daniel's concern in the very beginning of the series, Bree would have already gone through with the Ceremony. I think the purity bonds was simply a subtle way to keep the girls they need as disconnected as they can so they have less variables to worry about. |
