Actually, there could be a similar dichotomy between OpAphid/Tachyon and P.Monkey/Owen. So if Opy relates to Monkey (and even Daniel says Monkey is a cancer), then Tachyon relates to Owen, which means Owen is obviously the good guy and I'm on the right side! Because torturing animals is obviously a sign of evil! 
I like any theory that results in Owen being better than Monkey, no matter how farfetched...

I've messaged Op to see if I can get any confirmation as to whether or not P.Monkey was a gift from the Order. Wouldn't that be curious development?

In character answer: Because poor P Monkey is being used against hi-- he-- it's will! It's being used by the evil order and Monkey agreed to cooperate because they lied and said they would leave Bree alone!
Real answer: P Monkey is being used for the Order's purpose; why remove an agent in the field?
My theory is that the ceremony will come into play again; maybe those chosen for the ceremony (it seems more than a rite of passage that EVERYONE has) are given the scar (the watcher-shaped scar; i say scar because the coloration is right. also, like circumcising a baby boy, it was probably not done with evil intent, and purposefully done when they were little so it wouldn't be as risky [blood loss?] and painful [babies forget fast!]) and the puppet.
