Does anyone have any clue as to where Jonas' lives?
Based on what Daniel says, it sounds like he lives North of where Bree and Daniel live, whether it be in California or out of state.
"I took some money from my parents before I left...not much, like fifty bucks. And then I, uh, just got a ticket and came up here. Didn't get me all the way here, though. Got me to a nearby town, but (shakes head) Jonas lives way the hell up here. I had to walk the last couple of miles. "

Well, I don't know cali very well, so I don't know if there are many rural area's up north, but had they gone into Oregon, they might have been able to find a rural place, and crossing state borders might be a good idea to ditch the order anyways.... |

Hadn't Bree metioned that they were on a mountain? Something about how difficult it was to "get up there"...
Plus we already know that it's "in the middle of nowhere". |

Kage, what episode is that in? I just wanna check...it would make sense...also, Jonas' backyard was green, so I am assuming that it is not in the Desert region of California...I am currently looking up mountains in that region...if I find anything, I will post it. |

Ok I found this site: http://www.destination360.com/north-america/us/california/mountains.php And from what I see on it...they could be near lake tahoe...it is to the north, and the terrain there seems to remind me of Jonas' backyard...I am going to keep looking though!
EDIT:
So I found this map: and (sorry photoshop is on my comp and that just died, so I had to edit it using *shudder* paint) I highlighted the very northern areas that have mountains in the, Shasta, and Lassen seem to be good candidates. |

Remember, we're looking for an area that is not only secluded, but where not many people go to. The place wouldn't be very secret if people (tourists or otherwise) are known to go to that area. |

I'm not sure which episode it's in, but I would gather that it would be in one of the last two or three of Bree's videos since she hasn't been at Jonas' all that long... |

You also could have cropped that pic a little more. It's still a tad large... |

There are some pretty good pics of some foliage in Christmas Surprise and Bored at Home. Is anyone a botanist or really know their trees? Maybe if we know what species of trees there are in Jonas' vids we can narrow it down by the distribution. _________________ "Tell you what Smithers; if we come back and everyone is slaughtered, I owe you a Coke" - C. Very good idea, one...or we could split the videos up like each do one and try to identify a couple kinds of trees or plants through trial and error?

I think they are in one of the West Coast states since Jonas mentions his parents were lost at sea at the 140th Longitude and his dad was an avid boater. Lake Tahoe might not be an option b/c its more inland.
Would $50 Am get them to Washington or even Oregon? _________________ "Tell you what Smithers; if we come back and everyone is slaughtered, I owe you a Coke" - C. Montgomery Burns |

Researching trees sounds like a good idea - I'll volunteer to do the trees in Christmas Surprise. _________________ "Tell you what Smithers; if we come back and everyone is slaughtered, I owe you a Coke" - C. Montgomery Burns

http://www.greyhound.com/home.asp I don't know where they started or else I would use this to see how far they could get for $50...but once again..good point one!
However, I would highly doubt $50 would get them to Washington...plus its at least one full day by car to go from Cali to WA (I have done it lol), anyone remember if Daniel mentioned how long of a busride it was? |

What were the other videos with good foliage shots?
NVM...Bored at home...I'll check it out!
So, the two distinct plants I saw, I wrote down descriptions of:
"Large greenish, wall, Ivyish shaped leaves and branches"
"Big green leaves, branches grow out from centeal location, arrowhead shaped leaves"
Now time to go check out what those are ^^
UHOH! I don't know where to look xD Help anyone?
