Imagine it is like a table with a solid surface. If you had an axis of rotation directly through the center dot, and you rotated the "table" 45 degrees, you would get this:

I presented this comparison a few days ago as a contributor. Please don't be upset if I point out that I am once again merely speculating here.

45 degrees, out of a 360 circle. 360/45=8

Last time I ordered a pizza, I noticed the comparison. Eight slices, although I'm sure none of them was exactly 45 degrees. But it was a circle with eight parts.

I also noticed bethy and I seem to be focusing on the same wheel here; a circle with eight sections.

Ice cream: you buy it bulk in gallons. You can also buy it in half gallons, quarts, and pints. Bottom line: pint is 1/8 of a gallon.

Sure, I'm am a crazy theorist, but Occam's Razor applies. The pizza and ice cream thing is a clue to the fraction 1/8. The images point to a division of eight.

Now that you've reworded that theory, it makes a lot more sense to me. When you first said it, I was thinking "Why would it be a table? What the hell does that have to do with anything?" But now I see. Spin Art = Rotating the image. Pizza and Ice Cream = 1/8
Also, I, like Kelly up there, thought of the Epogen logo. I'm not sure if it fits in, but it would make some sense, I guess.

However, how does the number 8 connect? Maybe there are 8 branches of the Order? Or maybe it will be the key to a puzzle sometime soon? Hmm.

Well, there were 4 symbols...and in one of Tachy's emails, I think I recall her referring to others.

4 is a divisor of 8...

Janes dear...these haven't really been the most challenging puzzles. Just something to keep us busy and so whiney, me thinks.

Why do they need us so whiny? Do they get natural power off of our whining like hamsters in those little hamster wheels?

That would explain how they keep the power on. I mean, who is paying the bills over there anyway!

The only reason I am posting this has to do with this e-mail from tristan

Some more derivations and history.

Lambda is a symbol for unity under oppression and was deriviated from a goad.

Sigma is formed from a shepards crook or a composite bow.

Sigma's hebrew equivelent is Shin

"In the Sefer Yetzirah the letter Shin is King over Fire, Formed Heaven in the Universe, Hot in the Year, and the Head in the Soul." - Wikipedia

With a goad and a shepards crook you might think that this group was into "convincing." Maybe the alternate meaning "Head in the Soul" (based of the hebrew equivalent shin) refers to the subconsious.

So I am convinced that lamda sigma is a mind control portion of the order.

If Theta Eta is textual critisizm, as Beast stated. Than this is another way the order influences people.

I also belive that Tau Phi has to do with genetic engineering the reasons being stated in an earlier post. "Life to Nothing" or giving nothing life.

and Theta Mu has already been identified.

OK, I think we may have this one. Theta Eta = "Death to our Critics".

Reasoning:

We'd been thinking that Theta Eta was the symbol the anti-Order used for themselves, but now (see screencap above) we know that it's a super-secret symbol used by the Order. This means that Jonas's parents either got it by a) Tachyon-style daring raid, or b) it was planted on them by the Order. I think (b) is more likely, but why would they do this... unless it's a "back off the case" / "horse's head" message telling them what's going to happen to them if they don't cease and desist. (A perfect time to go on a boating vacation!)

Theta = Death we got from Tachyon. The rather dubious reading of Eta = Critic we got from DB.

Off-topic: not sure my heart's in this right now, sigh. Doesn't stop my brain from ticking over on the train this morning.

Death to our critics. hmmmm....well, Jonas' parents were definitely order critics. Maybe it was a way to mark the next "target", i.e. Jonas' parents?

Piss it in the snow, brand it in your flesh, one of the two. Smile

I think it may be a reference to the quote:
