sometimes..
sometimes its utter hell
think about it this way...
in a newroom it feels like the following...
1)get the hottest man you know to stand in front of you naked (you are not allowed to touch him (distractions .. got to love them)
2)Get a back massaging chair and put it on "Get Ready to Rumble" mode (feeling like your being shaken everywhere)
3) Have a cell phone surgecally implanted to your ear with the constant bitching of an editor on how the deadline was two minutes ago and the story is STILL on your computer
4)have a computer on beside you constantly saying "You have mail."
5) have a parade of elephants go through your office once an hour
6)write 10 articles a day...but don't feel too disappointed when only two of the get published
7)Have the phone ringing off the hook and when you pick up the most absurd stories speak ("Cat Fashion show on the water front","My garbage spoke to me", "the hooker wasn't a woman!")
8)Have the police raiding you file folders and messing up your system because they suspect that you have" crutial evidence" to a law suit. (this has happened to me and I bawled my eyes out after they left because my papers were all over the floor)
9)Have the phone ringing every hour from a day care saying "You daughter just hit one of the kids"
10)Have a monkey tickle you
....
THIS is why I'm freelance now and work from home.
god I miss the office
