I'm curious about this as well. I can't see how it really matters. It's not like LG15 lost a subscriber for every one that Smosh gained. |

if you were the Creators, would you rather tell marketers you were number one or number two? in the scheme of life, NONE of this is important, surely. but in terms of our little corner of the world, i find it significant. i'll be happy to be wrong.

In that sense I can see why it might be significant, sure. I still don't think almost 100,000 subscribers would be anything to scoff off at, though, but I see your point.
To be honest, I'm surprised LG15 wasn't overtaken sooner. Not as a diss to it, but comedies (which Smosh is) tend to gain more people's attention in the first place, and the longer a series with an actual narrative runs, the less able it becomes to draw in new people anyway. It is still a testament to something about it, though, that it's managed to way more than double its subscriber count since the sensationalized "She's fake, she fooled us all!" period passed. |
