In addition to films like Lord of the Rings, Superman Returns or Snakes on a Plane, Epic Movie will also spoof several pop-culture phenomena, like MTV Cribs, the SNL skit Lazy Sunday, and [[lonelygirl15 (production)|lonelygirl15]].

A series of promotional teasers starring Carmen Electra have been released under the YouTube account [[lonelygirl362436]], a reference to the 36-inch bust, 24-inch waist and 36-inch hips that are considered the ideal dimensions for a porn star. 36 24 36 is also what Bon Scott claims his phone number is in the AC/DC song Dirty Deeds, Done Dirt Cheap.

The promotional teasers recreate [[Bree]]'s famous bedroom, but with dozens of stuffed animals on the bed. Although it looks like Bree's room, this room is different, the doorknob styles are not the same, and the proportions of the notch in which the bookshelf rests are clearly different.
