domboli
On the evening of Sept. 7, 2006 a message was posted on the message boards at lonelygirl15.com titled, A Message From The Creators. At the time, it was unknown who The Creators were, but the account had administrator privileges, and the post was quickly accepted as legitimate.

A few hours later, Richard Rushfield of the LA Times published an article that, using the work of the Phorum 3, linked lonelygirl15 to the Creative Artists Agency. The post did not stop lonelygirl15 fans from continuing to search for the identity of the actress that portrayed Bree.

<pre>
To Our Incredible Fans,

Thank you so much for enjoying our show so far. We are amazed by the overwhelmingly
positive response to our videos; it has exceeded our wildest expectations. With your
help we believe we are witnessing the birth of a new art form. Our intention from the
outset has been to tell a story– A story that could only be told using the medium of
video blogs and the distribution power of the internet. A story that is interactive
and constantly evolving with the audience.

Right now, the biggest mystery of Lonelygirl15 is “who is she?” We think this is an
oversimplification. Lonelygirl15 is a reflection of everyone. She is no more real or
fictitious than the portions of our personalities that we choose to show (or hide)
when we interact with the people around us. Regardless, there are deeper mysteries
buried within the plot, dialogue, and background of the Lonelygirl15 videos, and many
of our tireless and dedicated fans have unearthed some of these. There are many more
to come.

To enhance the community experience of Lonelygirl15, which you have already helped to
create, we are in the process of building a website centered around video and
interactivity. This website will allow everyone to enjoy the full potential of this new
medium. Unfortunately, we aren’t programmers. We are filmmakers. We are working
furiously to complete the website, and hope to have it up and running shortly.

So, sit tight. You are the only reason for our success, and we appreciate your devotion.
We want you to know that we aren’t a big corporation. We are just like you. A few people
who love good stories. We hope that you will join us in the continuing story of
Lonelygirl15, and help us usher in an era of interactive storytelling where the line
between “fan” and “star” has been removed, and dedicated fans like yourselves are paid
for their efforts. This is an incredible time for the creator inside all of us.

Thank you.
(Jonas and Daniel are sitting in a car. The camera is pointed at Jonas, who is in the driver's seat.)

Daniel: Woah...

Jonas: You know what, man, I gotta say that in...you know, your guys's videos, you make this shit seem... fun?

(Daniel and Jonas laugh. The camera turns to Daniel's face.)

Daniel: Oh yeah.

(Jonas leans in, towards the camera, and makes a strange noise. The camera turns towards Daniel.)

Daniel: What're you doing?

Jonas: I don't know man, I'm just so frickin' bored. You know, we should've got coffee or donuts, on a stakeout you're supposed to have donuts, right? Isn't that--?

(Daniel laughs, and the camera turns back to Jonas.)

Jonas: At least we'd have something to eat.

Daniel: We need some donuts, man.

Jonas: Do you think that we're gonna make it back by New Year's?

Daniel: You got a--you got a party to go to?

Jonas: No, I don't have a party, but I, you know, I like the song.

(Jonas hums "Auld Lang Syne", and Daniel laughs.)

Jonas: I bet she knows. Last year, I, uhh, put on a Santa hat--

Daniel: Yeah?

Jonas: --and uhh, I think my left sock, and I skated around my buddy's--

(Daniel laughs.)

Daniel: (Still laughing) Shut up, dude. Seriously.

Jonas: The police showed up. I swear man. Look, I am not lying. I would not lie about--

Daniel: Oh shit!

(The camera shows Bree and her father leaving a building. They sit at a table outside. The camera shows the side of Jonas's head.)

Jonas: Let's just go get her. She's right there. Let's go get--

Daniel: Wait! Dude, they're talking. Hang on.

(The camera turns back to Bree and her father.)

Jonas: Why? Who's she--

Daniel: That's her dad, man. He looks freaked out. Can't just...barge in there.

(The camera is now looking out the windshield, as Jonas drives after them.)

Daniel: Okay, so, Bree and her dad-- They just jumped in the car, they took off. I just want to find out where they're going.

(The camera shows the side of Jonas's head.)

Jonas: Do you even know where we are right now?

Daniel: No. No I--

Jonas: I have no idea where we are. You sure that that's her dad? I mean--

Daniel: That's her dad!

Jonas: (muttering) God dammit.

(The camera shows the car Bree and her father are in again. Cut to the car going around a parking garage. The car drives around. The camera shows Jonas.)

Daniel: Where are they going?

(The camera shows the car driving a little more. Cut to the car parked near the roof.)

Daniel: Okay, There's their car.

Jonas: Cool. Good.

Daniel: Now we just gotta wait.

Jonas: Wait?

Daniel: Yeah.

(The camera shows Daniel.)

Daniel: Yeah, so, we're just sitting around now.

(The camera sees Bree and her father walking towards their car. A car pulls between them and their car. The camera begins shaking as Daniel and Jonas run towards them. Two people get out of the car, and move towards Bree's father.)

Daniel: Bree!

(To Thee We Sing (Rachmaninov) by Kyiv Chamber Choir plays. Bree runs into Daniel's arms, they turn around, and run back to Jonas's car. A gunshot is heard. Bree screams. The camera turns towards Daniel, who is dragging Bree. All three get into the car.)

Daniel: Go, go, go, go!

(The car drives out of the parking garage, and the screen turns white.)
Notes
* What actually happened in this episode ignited much speculation. See What unthinkable happened? for an attempt at a logical reconstruction from what we know.
* This is the first video to make use of the thumbnail trick.
* On Revver, the description is only the last sentence of the YouTube description. ("We caught up to Bree... well... just watch.")
* Just as Daniel and Jonas get out of the car, there is a faint thumping sound, which could be heard as a helicopter, possibly belonging to the Order. The sound then fades to make way for the backing music.
* The garage scene was shot at the Westfield Fashion Square in Sherman Oaks, California. The Sunkist building can been seen across the street.
* During the first part of the video, Bree and her dad are sitting outside the Coral Tree Cafe in Encino, as discovered by Nikki Bower.
* Bree's dad was killed in this video. Gemma and Isaac Gilman also died on that day.

Daniel: Well, Bree left.

Jonas: (softly) "See ya."

Daniel: So, anyways, we're on our way to the airport right now to pick up Jonas's aunt. And, uh, Bree decided to go hang out with Tachyon. Yeah, I'm sure that's the only reason she left though, to hang out with Tachyon. You think? Yeah maybe? Just.. (Daniel turns the camera towards Jonas.)

Jonas: What?

Daniel: Tell everyone out here what you asked her before she left.

Jonas: No, that was just a thing. I'm not gonna--

Daniel: No, tell us. It was a, a joke right?

Jonas: Yeah, of course it was a joke.

Daniel: Well, then tell us.

Jonas: No.

Daniel: Why, why not? You think it was just a little bit messed up?

Jonas: Ok, ok, I'll tell you.

Daniel: All right, cool.

Jonas: It was really innocent, she way overreacted, but I said, uh, this thing that my mom used to tell me. She would say, Jonas, would you rather, uh, be dumber than you look or look dumber than you are? And I would say, well, I'd rather look dumber than I am. And she'd say, are you sure that's possible? (Daniel laughs.) See, innocent.

Daniel: Well, let's put it like this (Daniel turns the camera towards himself.). He said that to Bree. Bree, like as in the brain child, Bree. (in a high pitched voice) I'm-so-smart Bree. (normally) Yeah, Bree. Bree. It was kind of the straw that broke the camel's back. Within two hours she was all packed up and ready for Tachyon to pick her up. What do you think they're doing? (Daniel turns the camera towards Jonas.)

Jonas: Talking about ways to kill me. (Daniel laughs). Oh, listen, uh, before we pick up my aunt, uh...I don't know how kosher she's gonna be with the whole B&E I pulled in her office thing today.

Daniel: Are you serious?

Jonas: Yeah....

Daniel: Now he tells us.

Jonas: It'll be fine. It's--I'm pretty sure.

Daniel: You sure? Then why'd you replace the lock? (laughs) Are you gonna tell her about the stuff you found?

Jonas: I don't know.

Daniel: How do you tell her without telling her that you broke into her office?

Jonas: Yeah, good point.

Daniel: What are you gonna tell her about your hand?

Jonas: Ah, I don't think I'm gonna--

Daniel: It's a conundrum.

Jonas: Yes, Daniel-san, it is a conundrum. (Daniel laughs.)

Daniel: She's divorced, right? Did she ever like, re-marry?

Jonas: Daniel, Daniel.

Daniel: What, dude?

Jonas: Listen to me.

Daniel: I'm not saying anything.

Jonas: Listen to me, do not hit--

Daniel: I'm not saying--All I'm saying is--

Jonas: Do not hit on my aunt. If you hit on my aunt, I will go Bree on you.

(Jonas's aunt gets in the car.)

Jonas: All right.

Daniel: All right.

Jonas: Say hi to the camera.

Alex: Hi.

Daniel: Yeah, so I don't know. Maybe, maybe tell us a little something about Rome.

Alex: Is he serious?

Jonas: Mmhmm, but just ignore him.

Daniel: Whatever, dude.

Alex: Oh my God, what happened to your hand?

Jonas: Oh, um, nothing, I just, I, I cut it in the kitchen. I was making salad--

Alex: Are you ok?

Jonas: It's a long story. Yeah, I'm good though.

Alex: Don't get near knives.

Daniel: So--

Alex: I've been telling you that since you were ten.

Daniel: Do you have a boyfriend? (Alex laughs)

Jonas: Daniel.

Daniel: Well, I'm just wondering.

Jonas: Daniel, you wanna walk?

Alex: I...

Jonas: Do you want to walk?

Alex: ...don't have time for a boyfriend.

Daniel: You don't have time for a boyfriend?

Alex: No... sorry.

Jonas: Just take it easy.

Daniel: I'm being nice.

Jonas: Play it cool.

Alex: It's ok.

Daniel: I'm totally cool, ask her. I'm cool right? (Alex nods.) See, she thinks I'm cool. (Jonas shakes his head.)
Notes
* Starting with this video, we know that Bree left Jonas's aunt's house with Tachyon.
* There was much speculation about the identity of the actress who plays Jonas's aunt. Some said it was Amy Aitken, Kim Argetsinger, or a woman named Leigh. It was quickly revealed that Bitsie Tulloch is the actress playing Aunt Alex. This was the first time that Liza Weil was not suspected of being the actress.
* B&E refers to "Breaking and Entering", a crime which has been perpetrated at least twice in the series. Breaking And Entering is also the title of one of Daniel's blogs.
