==Who is lonelygirl15?==
On May 24, 2006 the world was touched by a sweet young girl experiencing the troubles of everyday life, but it turned out to be something more than that. The truth about lonelygirl15's life was told, and the world was captivated...

[[Bree|Lonelygirl15]], a.k.a. Bree, is an intelligent, yet awkward and geeky teenager. Raised in a strict, isolated household, she lacks many of the social skills possessed by her peers. She does not go out with friends much, and spends much of her time reading or playing juvenile games, such as interacting with her three stuffed animals, [[Thor]] the bear, [[Owen]] the Turtle, and [[Purple Monkey|P. Monkey]]. Bree is home schooled, and she and her parents have moved around a lot, which has limited her social experiences and has left her without any true friends. For a short while she attended high school, but the social pressures, teasing and her lack of experience proved too overwhelming for her to bear. However, she did leave her short stint in public high school with one friend, [[Daniel]].

==Her Beginning==
In June of 2006, Bree bought a webcam and began posting on [[YouTube]]. At first, she posted simple, silly clips of her and her animals. Later on, however, she opened up to the audience and began telling more and more about herself, her life, religion and troubles. [[My Parents Suck...|Bree explains]] that her religion often prevents her from doing normal, teenage activities. Along the way, [[The Danielbeast|she introduces Daniel (as DanielBeast)]], her best ''real'' friend. Although he just sits on the bed and reads magazines most of the time, he occasionally participates in her clips, such as their spoof of each other, "[[Proving Science Wrong... with Lonelybeast and Danielgirl15]]".

Daniel and Bree spend more and more time together, [[My Parents... Let Us Go Hiking!!!|going on hikes]], [[Swimming!|swimming]] or just sitting in her bedroom. Bree's father asks Daniel to film Bree's play for her annual religious summer camp. Daniel refuses, and [[What Bree's Dad Said...|Bree's father reacts negatively]], which places a strain on her friendship with Daniel. Afterwards, tears are shed and angry words are exchanged between the friends. Daniel [[To Hell With Bree's Dad (yeah!)|posts a video]] explaining how he intends to attend her play, though not to film it, much to the surprise and happiness of Bree. Having gotten over the first hurdle in their public relationship, Bree excitedly shares that she has been chosen to participate in a sacred ceremony for her religion. Bree does not share many details about this religion except to say that she is truly committed to her faith.

==Her Rebellion==
Daniel [[I Want to Take Bree to a Party!|invites Bree to a party]], something she has never experienced, and with people she only met during her short time in public education (and who also [[Poor Pluto|teased her]] for her intellectual curiousity in science class). Her parents forbid her to go, but Bree [[I'm Going to the Party!|decides to sneak out anyway]]. Much to her dismay, her father is waiting for her when she gets home. She is promptly placed under "[[House Arrest|house arrest]]," and her father forbids her to see Daniel anymore. After this first rebellious act against her parents, it seems as if Bree has become addicted to sneaking out, or perhaps she just relishes her newfound freedom. Daniel invites her on various "dates" and Bree is confused about teen love. She's never had a boyfriend before, and obviously never had a kiss, so Daniel's desire to be something more than friends befuddles her, especially when [[My First Kiss|he kisses her]] at another party.

==Her Religion==
In the video [[A Change In My Life]], Bree sheds some light on the cermony for which she has been chosen to participate. For the [[Bree's ritual|ceremony]], she has to learn [[Enochian|a new language]], go on a special diet, learn special steps, take [[iron pills|iron supplements]] and receive weekly [[Bree's injections|injections]].

Although Bree promises to have a dinner with Daniel, she realizes that she has to go to a [[Fall Equinox]] ceremony for [[Bree's religion|her religion]]. Again, her mysterious religion tears Daniel and Bree apart. She decides that her religion is more important to her than her only friend. She gains a "[[My Helper|helper]]" who will assist her in preparing for the upcoming ceremony. She is already studying hard, dieting, taking pills and receiving mysterious shots. Nevertheless, she enjoys this new friend. Daniel, still angry, [[Where Are They Going?|follows Bree and her helper]], [[Lucy]], trying to figure out the woman's purpose and motives. Bree sees the videoblog of Daniel following her and is upset. She tells Daniel via [[Daniel Crossed The Line|videoblog]] to leave her alone and stop following her. She also warns him about the power of those in her religious order. Daniel ignores her and begins to become alarmed by the extent to which her religion affects events in Bree's life.

==Her Ceremony==
Daniel finds inconclusive, yet disturbing stories about a man associated with Bree's religion, [[Aleister Crowley]]. He follows Bree yet again and stumbles upon the ceremony and [[The Ceremony|films part of the secret ritual]], barely escaping being caught. After that, he follows Bree's helper Lucy to her apartment and waits until she leaves, [[Following The Helper|breaking in]] and finding pictures on Lucy's computer of himself videotaping the ceremony, along with maps of locations in Texas, Arizona, California, Alaska and Alberta, Canada. He freaks out and is convinced that the "cult" as he calls it, is following him, as he followed them. Bree hears of this and becomes extremely worried about Daniel's safety. So he goes "underground," staying at a friend's place to hide from the cult. Daniel calls Bree, finding out that under the instruction of Lucy and other cult members [[I Lied To Daniel|Bree has lied]] to him about the ceremony. As it turns out, Bree doesn't know what the ceremony is, Bree's father doesn't know what the shots are, and Lucy won't answer any of Bree's questions. With Daniel's encouragement, Bree decides not to do the ceremony, and her parents surprisingly agree with her decision. Meanwhile, Bree is contacted by [[Gemma]], an old friend, who warns her of the power and influence of [[The Order|the "Order"]].

==Her Getaway==
While at Daniel's house, [[Still At Daniel's|Bree's parents tell her]] that she should sleep at Daniel's for the night, an extreme contrast to the conservative parents Bree first knew. A couple days later Bree and Daniel, both worried, decide to go over to her house after not receiving any responses to their numerous phone calls. When they arrive, [[On The Run|they witness her parents leaving]] with Lucy and a man from the ceremony. Inside, they find a note inside of P. Monkey warning Bree to stay with Daniel, along with some money. With this, Daniel and Bree decide to run. They sleep in their car for a few days before settling in to a [[The motel|motel]]. Bree seems to be her usual silly self, but [[Someone's Following You|Gemma warns her]] that she is being followed by a "[[Watcher]]", a member of the order who is stalking them. They both flee again, finding [[The second motel|another motel]]. [[Silent Treatment|Daniel is upset with Bree]] for not taking the situation seriously.

==Her New Friend==
Bree is left a video comment by [[Jonas]], who wishes Lonelygirl and Danielbeast a [[Happy Thanksgiving]]. He does not give out much background information about himself, and says only that his parents mysteriously disapeared while sailing six years ago, and expresses his sympathy for Bree, a fellow "orphan". Meanwhile, Daniel and Bree return to their motel room to find it [[Ransacked!|ransacked]], and all their money stolen, having only the small amount left that Daniel was carrying, and they flee once again. Daniel becomes increasingly aggravated and wants to go back, but Bree is not convinced that they are safe. It seems The Order is trying to isolate Bree, as Gemma fears she too is being followed by a Watcher. [[Scared To Go Home|Scared to go home]], she crashes at a friends house, like Daniel when he first found out he was being followed. On the 28th of November, a chat session is held online in which it is suggested that Bree gets help from Jonas, who is apparently rich and lives alone in a big house. Jonas offers to give Bree and Daniel money or a place to stay. Bree is hesitant and is afraid to trust Jonas, but Jonas [[Trust Issues|posts a video]] persuading her to trust him. Jonas later posts another video saying that Bree has chosen to stay with him, but Daniel hasn't, as Bree misses him, and will not come out of her room.

Much speculation has been put forth in the viewing community about a [[Bree%27s_religion|religion]] she is reluctant to speak openly about, a mysterious [[Bree's ritual|ceremony]] in the near future she has been chosen to be a participant of, and the current conflict surrounding Daniel, her parents, and her religion.

It has been implied in the episodes that her parents are very strict. In one episode Bree revealed that her [[Bree's mother|mother]] and [[Bree's father|father]] met in London during the intermission of the play '[[Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead]]'. Apparently the two got into a heated argument about the central theme in the play, and in the words of Bree, her father was "smitten like a kitten". In the same episode, [[How My Parents Met]], Bree also divulged that her father studied medicine at [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oxford Oxford].

Her parents are strictly religious. This is one reason that Bree is homeschooled. In the video, [[Learning To Drive]], Bree tells [[Daniel]] that her parents are not [[Order of Dendera]], presumably a reference to her [[Bree's religion|religion]].

==Travels==
In the episode "[[Mysteries_of_My_Past..._REVEALED%21|Mysteries of My Past... REVEALED!]], Bree gave us a little rundown of all her travels. According to Bree, she was born in America, and moved to New Zealand when she was eight years old. While there, her family lived in a [[commune]] next to a small town. At age ten, Bree's family visited the Northern Territory of Australia. At the age of twelve, they moved to Nottinghamshire England, and resided there for two years. After England, they finally settled down in their home in the United States.

==School==
Bree has mentioned many times that she is homeschooled, but she has referenced in episodes that she previously attended traditional public schooling at least two times. First in New Zealand, where she was pulled from public schools after her parents witnessed the lack of discipline and again in the United States. In school she made two friends, [[Cassie]] and [[Daniel]]. Cassie was uncomfortable with Bree's religion and stopped hanging out with her after she left public school. Daniel and Bree stayed best friends.

Bree's parents pulled her out when she became the subject of ridicule, rumors, and hostilities from fellow classmates. In [[Poor Pluto]] Bree says that students made fun of her for asking too many astronomy questions in a science class. They started calling her [[Stargirl]] and when she continued asking questions they suggested she was having a relationship with the teacher. Daniel later said in [[I Want to Take Bree to a Party!]] that he did not think the teasing was that big of a deal. Bree has remarked in comments to her YouTube videos that she'd like to go back to public school.

She seems to be interested in astronomy, quantum physics, history, and evolution (another possible hint to her family's profession). Her studies are quite advanced for a secondary education level.

==Religion==
Not much is known for sure about [[Bree's religion]]. [[Bree's religion]] was the source of a great deal of debate because of its role in [[Bree's ritual]]. Fans initially speculated that it is or is related to [[Thelema]], but this was disavowed by [[Gemma]] in [[Learning Egyptian]], who claimed that it is not a religion at all. Rather, Bree's "religion" is a type of secret society known as [[The Order]].

Most of the early Lonelygirl15 videos take place in [[Bree's bedroom]].

==Other Friends==

During the latest enrollment at public school, she befriended a young woman named [[Cassie]], who was in Daniel's class (although he doesn't recognize the name). Bree says that everyone made fun of Cassie and that they used to walk around the track together. They initially spent time together, but Cassie was uncomfortable with Bree's religion. After Bree returned to homeschooling, she and Cassie stopped spending time together.

At a party, Bree met Daniel's Friends [[Paul]] and [[Andrea]]. She liked them a lot and the foursome made plans to go bowling together. It is unclear if they actually went bowling.

In preparing for her ceremony, Bree began spending time with [[Lucy]], her "helper". Lucy is a member of her religion, like a counselor, and has helped Bree prepare for her ceremony.

While in England, she became good friends with a dog. The dog's owner, later revealed to be [[Gemma]], has begun communicating with Bree from her home in London.

Bree's stuffed animal friends are [[Purple_Monkey|P. Monkey]], [[Owen]], and [[Thor]], and she utilizes them as puppets or props in various episodes. She also has a [[hot pink feather boa]] she is quite fond of.

==Etymology==

*Bree is the anglicized form of the Irish Gaelic female name Brígh, which means "power" or "high." As "Brigh" means power/high, fans speculate that Bree's name may refer to her importance to [[the Order]]. It may be that her ceremony was designed as an initiation into a ''high'' position entailing ''power.''

*Alternatively, the video [[What Did Daniel and Dad Talk About?]] makes an implicit link between the name ''Bree'' and ''Brie cheese''.

==Other==
Bree is played by [[Jessica Lee Rose]], and her well-sculptured [[Breebrows|eyebrows]] were a major source of speculation about whether she was real or an actress before the actress's true identity was revealed.

Bree's journeys from her birth in America, moving to New Zealand in early childhood and coming back to America in her teens also mirrors that of Jessica Rose's travels (and explains her occasional accent).

In [http://lonelygirl15.com/?p=95&play=1#comment-10510 a post] on [[lonelygirl15.com]], a user going by the name The [[Deacons]] referred to Bree as the [[Urim and Thummim]]. It is not known if this is in any way related to the official plot nor what it may imply about her future significance to the [[Denderah|Order of Denderah]]. The legitimacy of these posts by "The Deacons" is still disputed because it has been noted that any user can post under any name whether they are part of the production or not.
