Transcript

Jennie: Hey, everybody. Um... I just had to get out of the cabin. So, the good news is that Emma is doing a lot better. She's... she's not sleeping all day anymore, and she's just kinda... back to being Emma. And Gina- Even Gina's coming out of her shell little by little, so...

Look, I know you guys all saw Daniel's video, where Sarah basically accuses me of fighting with Jonas because I'm, I don't know, secretly jealous? Whatever. I mean, that's just Sarah being Sarah, right? It's part of her "charm". You know, Sarah may never believe me, but I want you guys to know that I'm not the kind of girl who says one thing and means another. I don't hide what I'm thinking or bury my feelings...or whatever.

(Cut to Jennie adjusting the camera. She looks back at the cabin.)

Okay. I'm just gonna break it down for you guys, alright? I do have a crush on Jonas; I have for weeks. Since I met him. And I'm being kinda obvious about it, in case people can't tell. I don't know, I mean maybe something'll happen, maybe it won't, but this is the twenty-first century. I mean, hello! A girl should be able to do and say and be whatever she wants. I mean, it's not about hiding things anymore. Forget about batty eyelashes and waiting for the phone to ring.

Which brings me back to where this all started: Emma. Emma should be able to contact her parents if she wants to because she is a strong, smart, twenty-first century woman who is aware of the risks and can make her own decisions for herself and by herself. News flash, Jonas! It's not a man's world anymore. Even if guys still are kinda great.

Notes

  • There is some audio echo in the second segment of Jennie's video. It is likely that she got too close to the microphone, though towards the end the echo seems to transform into the sound of a plane overhead.
  • It is believed children can be heard shouting in the background.
