Transcript

Sarah: Well, I was right. Prom was... different. Um. I don't know what to say about Gina. I got to know her as well as anyone could. But Emma's right. She was strong and... a little guarded. Naive. She didn't deserve what happened to her. A-as for me, it's (rubs face with hands) complicated. I suppose you guys are wondering why I didn't come home for two days after what happened. I ran through the woods. I ran until my legs gave out. I couldn't breathe. My throat closed up. I- I guess I was dehydrated. And then I found a road. And I passed out. I guess that's what I get for spiking the punch. The next thing I remember, I woke up in the back seat of some woman's car. I guess she was taking me to the hospital. When we stopped at a stop light, I got out of the backseat because I wasn't taking any chances. I walked on foot for a couple miles, and I found a Denny's. I used the payphone outside to call Daniel, and he and Jonas came and got me. I was in a pretty bad state.

(Cut to Sarah, walking over to a desk with a brown paper bag. She sets it down on the floor. Cut to Sarah, carrying over a small box and hat. She sets the box on the desk. And roughly throws the hat into the brown paper bag. Opening the box, Sarah takes out an envelope, rolling her eyes as she does so. She takes out the card and shows it to the camera; the cover says, "LOVE". She takes a photograph out of the card before throwing it away, then rips the photo in two.

(Cut to Sarah removing roses from the box and shaking her head before disposing of them. Cut to Sarah, opening up a cardboard jewelry box and taking out a single earring. She drops it into the brown bag, staring at the camera. She then roughly throws the rest of the box into the bag. Cut to Sarah throwing away an unidentified, hard object. Cut to Sarah throwing out the entire box, now empty.)

Sarah: (standing closer to the camera) It's my fault Gina's dead. That's why everyone's watching me. You know, if I hadn't had brought Carl...

(Cut to Sarah, walking onscreen with the book Finding the One. She opens it to the page Carl wrote a love note on and rips it out.)

Sarah: (Standing closer to the camera, again) He used me. He killed one of my friends. You know, I thought he loved me. Everything, the love letter, the bomb scare. It was all the set up.

(Cut to outside. A grill is standing in the back ground. Sarah comes onscreen from the right, in front of the grill.)

Sarah: You know what, I hate him. I hate Carl. He betrayed me and he used me to get to one of us. And I can't believe that I fell for it the whole time.

(Cut to Sarah, now behind the grill, preparing it for use.)

Sarah: They won't say it, but they think I have something to do with what happened. And-- and why? Because I got sick and fell asleep in the back of some woman's car? (leans over and reaches into the brown bag she'd filled up earlier, grabbing a handful of stuff and dropping it in the grill.) You know, I feel bad enough as it is. (leans over to grab another item) And the fact that they think that I had something to do with it, it's just-- (drops item into the grill) it's wrong. (leans over to retrieve yet another item. She sighs angrily.) This is like the Lullaby Project (drops item into grill) all over again, everyone's second guessing me. (leans over for more items)

(Cut to Sarah, dropping in another handful of stuff. She leans over and picks up another object.)

Sarah: You know, I could go back to Texas. Then I think about Gina. And... I can't run away. You know what, she deserves better than that. (sets object on fire and drops it in.)

(Cut to Sarah, ripping up a paper and throwing the pieces into the flame. Cut to the pieces of paper burning. The camera slowly zooms up on them.)

(Fade out to Sarah, back inside.)

Sarah: Since I got back, Daniel's been by my side, taking care of me and... it's nice. What happened between us at prom, you know it-- it really meant something. But... with what happened, and... how everyone looks at me... I honestly don't know where it's gonna lead. There's a small bit of good news, though. Um, Jennie thinks that she may have found something that can help us pay back that murderer. I'll keep you posted. (covers camera with hand)

Notes

  • It may be interesting to note that, while she tears out Carl's note in the back, Sarah never destroys the Hymn of One book she received after being brainwashed. It should be noted that it is a one of a kind prop and its often used while filming to prop up the stationary camera during video blogs.
