Transcript

(Kate raises the blinds in what appears to be the same room that was seen in Lovers Quarrel then turns to face the camera.)

Kate: Morning. (Looks behind her, out of the window.) Afternoon. I haven't slept much since my last blog. I've been doing some work with Steve but I still can't remember anything from last week. (Picture from I Can't Remember Anything! flashes on screen) Are our parents right? Should we avoid speaking to strangers or are they just friends that we haven't met yet? (Kate closes the blinds then the shot cuts to her closing the blinds in her bedroom.) Like my friend, Steve. Steve's told me he can help me figure out what's happened last week. So what if I only met him a few days ago in the Library? Charlie says she doesn't want him coming to her party. She thinks he's a weirdo. She's wrong to judge him, she doesn't even know him. Sure he's a little different but if I hadn't of met him when I did then...I wouldn't have any hope right now. I haven't had much support from my friends. Tariq doesn't want me meeting with Steve either...but he hasn't been around much this week. We were meant to be going to the cinema it's Orange Wednesday tonight but... he's working late. Steve called. He wants to bring over a meditation exercise tape, it's to help people with amnesia. Is that a good idea? (She contemplates, sighs then turns the camera off.)

Notes

  • Orange Wednesday is a service provided by a mobile phone company in the UK. By texting FILM to "241" on your Orange phone you get a 2-for-1 movie ticket. Chances are that this mention of it could be a small promotion for Orange Mobile
  • Kate's attempt at memory recovery is very similar to Daniel and Jonas's attempt at remembering what happened to them after they were kidnapped by a Shadow. Like Daniel and Jonas, Kate has had no results.
