Allison: Well, you guys said to investigate, (reappears wearing glasses) and investigate I did. (Cut to Allison without glasses.) My mom and my grandma went out to get their hair done, and I was alone for the first time in weeks, so I seized the opportunity to do a little snooping, and I found a few really interesting things. Okay, my mom’s room had zilch in it, and I wish I had skipped it altogether, because it was a big waste of time that I could have spent looking through my grandma’s stuff, but... oh well. At first I thought there wasn’t anything in my grandma’s room, either, and I started to get really disappointed. But then I looked under the bed and found a folder full of papers, and when I opened it up, I found my birth certificate. I didn’t know why my grandma had it, but I wasn’t too interested, so I went to the next sheet of paper and found my mom’s birth certificate. I thought, “that’s odd,” but I kept going and found my aunt Sarah’s, my grandma’s, Eleanor’s, the certificates of Eleanor’s daughter Katherine and two granddaughters, and finally Louise’s. Yes, that’s right, the mystery girl. I spread them out all over the floor so I could see them all at once, and then I noticed something even weirder. On my certificate, in the bottom left hand corner, there was this little symbol, sort of like a star, and when I looked for it on the other certificates, it was only on two others: Katherine’s, and Louise’s. There was one other interesting thing that I found. Eleanor’s obituary was paper-clipped to the back of her birth certificate, so I checked Louise’s for one. There was a newspaper clipping with it, but it wasn’t an obituary. It was an article from 1943, about some girl who had been abducted. It didn’t mention the girl’s name, but it did say something about Aleister Crowley, who was the founder of my religion. I don’t know for sure if the article is about Louise, but the date fits, so I guess that’s why she wasn’t in any more pictures. Poor girl. It also explains why Grandma didn’t want to talk about it. Scary, huh? I was just getting to the next section of papers when I heard the door opening and I had to hurry and put all the stuff away so that my grandma didn't find me rummaging through her stuff. (She holds up a purple PostIt Note with the names of her family members written on it. At the bottom, there is a drawing of a Unicursal Hexagram.) I copied down the symbol, though, see? I’m a terrible artist, by the way. I don’t know what this means for me, but I just have this awful feeling that something terrible is about to happen.
