The Breeniverse is a loosely defined term which refers to everything within the lonelygirl15 project, including characters, locations, official MySpace profiles, YouTube comments and website comments; which would be considered "real" within the fictional universe that Bree and her friends inhabit. The term also extends to the community and community activities that grew out of lonelygirl15.

The term, which first came into use in August 2006, is loosely cribbed from similar terms such as the ViewAskewniverse (referring to Kevin Smith's interconnected movies) and the Buffyverse (which includes the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel).

Unusual expressions, acronyms, terms, phrases, or things found in the Breeniverse are collectively known as Breeniversisms.
