I'm not sure why, but a lot of these videos are defaulting to the category Fan Videos as well as the subcategory that they are in. Is there a way we can make it so that they dont go in Fan Videos if they are in a subcategory of Fan Videos? Like... the first blogs in TheLadyLazarus's "Cassie" series.. should really only go in "TheLadyLazarus's Blogs" category. Makes things more organized... Please let me know if this is possible! --Zoey 17:35, 26 April 2007 (CDT)

Template:Unofficial blog includes "" so every video which uses that template is in Fan Videos by default. I guess the only way to change that is to change the template. psichopate 17:40, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
Can it be so that it defaults to Fan Videos if there's no other category specified? But otherwise does not include that? That's really what I'm trying to figure out. Because, videos should not be in both places.. but should default to Fan Videos if no where else is specified... --Zoey 17:45, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
Uhm... Lots of video belong to more than one category so it's not really straight forward. I guess wiki don't have ways of checking whether one of catagories is subcategory of some given category?
It would be possible to change template so it would look like this:
<...>
| Next = <-- Leave blank after =
                    if there is no next blog.
<-- delete this if....
}}
But... It doesn't look like the best solution for me. psichopate 18:20, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
Hmmm, we could add a "category" parameter to Unofficial blog that takes the category that the video should be in. If none is provided, then it will default to Category:Fan videos. I'm not sure how this would work with the "{blogger}'s blogs" thing we have going though. Maybe the category parameter could replace that for video pages using Unofficial blog.--Jonpro 18:23, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
Ahh, not enough sleep.. that did not make sense to me. Basically (and maybe this is what you said, I am confused...) I thought each fan video series should have a subcategory within "Fan Videos" and videos should be auto. filtered to those categories.. but videos without categories should just go directly into "Fan Videos". That way it would be really easy for someone looking to find out info on all the fanfic series we have available.. or a specific series. Maybe we could even have the non-"normal" templates filter into there too? Bah, I'm confusing myself slightly.. please let me know if this makes sense... --Zoey 19:55, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
Okay, how about this? What if we just removed the "" line from Unofficial blog? All of the blogs should automatically be placed in the correct subcategories. Do we even have any that should be in the top category Category:Fan videos?--Jonpro 20:56, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
