Transcript

(Jonas runs into the rented house, where Dr. Hart and Emma are washing dishes.)

Dr. Hart: Oh, hey. Is he gonna do it?

Jonas: Well, he said he had to talk to some people before he'd commit.

Dr. Hart: Like who?

Jonas: I...

Emma: Wait, what are you guys talking about?

Jonas: I don't know. I guess his boss said he can't just do whatever he wants.

Dr. Hart: What the hell are we gonna do until then? They could find us any minute!

Emma: Hello?

Jonas: I know. So, listen, we're gonna get out of here, alright? So, pack a bag. We're going; we're leaving.

Emma: What? Why? Where are we going?

Jonas: Oh! Hey, doc. I think we should split up: it would just be safer for all of us. Alright. So, you go one way, Emma and I are gonna go the other.

Emma: No! Jonas! Hello?

(Cut to Jonas standing outside of the door to the bathroom)

Jonas: Em? (Knocks on the door) Emma!

Emma: I'm not going.

Jonas: (Turning to the camera) She's not coming out of the bathroom.

Dr. Hart: Did someone follow you from his office?

Jonas: No, we didn't meet in any office.

Dr. Hart: Well, from where ever?

(Jonas looks concernedly at Dr. Hart)

Jonas: No, why are you asking?

Dr. Hart: Well, just 'cause there's a car out here.

(Jonas walks with the camera to the window, to show a car parked outside of the house)

Jonas: Shit! (Runs back to the bathroom door) Em, honey, I'm not kidding. You gotta come out of there, alright? You gotta come out of there; we gotta go.

Dr. Hart: (Knocks on the door) Emma? Open up. I-I need to talk to you.

(Emma opens the door to let Dr. Hart in, and slams it in Jonas's face. Jonas sighs and goes back to the window. Emma eventually exits the bathroom with Dr. Hart behind her.)

Emma: We're not splitting up. We're all gonna go together.

Dr. Hart: Well, come on. Let's go.

(Daniel is looking outside at the car)

Daniel: Once I get him out of the car, you guys be ready to go for it.

Dr. Hart: (Putting on his jacket) These people are dangerous. You can't just walk right up to them.

Jonas: Don't worry about it. Alright? They're not gonna do something to him right down the street.

Dr. Hart: Well, I'm glad you're so sure about it, is all I can say.

Daniel: I'm the one doing it. I'm not even worried, why are you?

(Cut to Jonas watching the car out of the window)

Jonas: Oh! There we go! (Daniel walks up to the car) Careful, buddy...

Emma: Oh my God...

(Daniel opens the car door and begins talking to the driver. When the driver gets out of the car, Daniel shoves him into the car.)

Jonas: Go, Daniel.

Dr. Hart: Oh, he's so confrontational?

Emma: He's been like that all week.

Jonas: Oh! Okay, this is it! We gotta go! We gotta go! (Jonas, Emma, and Dr. Hart run to the door.) Go, go, go, go, go, go! Go, go, go, go! Go! (They pile into the car in the driveway. The camera cuts to show Daniel still shoving the driver.) Hold on! Hold on!

Emma: (Laughing) Way to channel that anger, Daniel.

Jonas: Is he okay?

Emma: Yeah. (Laughs) Yeah.

(Cut to Jonas talking to the camera in front of the car. Emma is sitting in the car, talking to Dr. Hart, who is crouching on the ground beside her.)

Jonas: So, you all might have guessed by now that we're taking Emma underground. The doc and I. Deep underground. And I'm not sure how long it's gonna be. (Looks at Emma and laughs) They sure bonded, huh? I think she trusts him more than she trusts me right now. (Shrugs) Eh, what are you gonna do?
