Transcript

Charlie: Hey. I am feeling so much better today. I've got this great new project I'm working on at the moment; it's this top-secret new internet TV thingy, right? Anyway, the guy who's running it is piling a pot load of cash into it, and he's loving all of the ideas I'm throwing at him. So I think it's gonna be really great.

(Charlie grabs the camera. Cut to Charlie walking through the office to the kitchen. She sits the camera on the counter.)

(Sighs.) I've been flat-out here since I got promoted. (Goes to the fridge and comes back to the camera with a Cadbury Creme Egg in hand.) I mean, I am really enjoying the responsibility. You know? It helps me keep my mind off... well, you know what. It's almost taken away my addiction to Whatweird.com. Well, almost.

(Unwraps the egg.) Boss's treats! (Takes a bite out of the egg.)

(Cut to Charlie's monitor, showing the Whatweird.com archive from January.)

There's always new weirdness on this site to take my mind off things. (Turns the camera to her face.) There are some interesting people on this site, too. You never know who you may meet, or if they're telling the truth.

(Cut to a shot of Jack's video Learn how to TELEPORT! playing on Charlie's monitor.)

Jack: I mean, I get better at teleporting everyday, and now I can pretty much jump to any place I've ever seen.

Charlie: (Cutting in over Jack) Like there's this kid named Jack, right, who's trying to say he can teleport? It's kind of sad, really. He talks about how he's getting bullied at school, and I think he's just talking about all the teleporting crazy stuff to get some attention.

Jack: I'm not using it to break the law.

(Cut to Charlie.)

Charlie: I honestly wish all the crazy stuff I blogged about was just made up to get attention. Look, Patricia Neilson's been in touch. She said she can explain everything and she wants to meet up with me. You know, I think she's telling the truth. I do think she was trying to help Kate before any of this happened.

She did tell me not to bring Steve or Tariq, though. In fact, her exact words were "If Ned Flanders and Homer Simpson ruck in, then it's off." So I'm sorry, guys, I can't tell you where I'm going, but of course I'll keep you updated on how it all goes. (Crosses her fingers.) Wish me luck.

Notes

  • The new project Charlie is referring to may be the new Internet TV project JustIncredible.TV.
  • Ned Flanders and Homer Simpson are obvious references to the TV show The Simpsons. Ned Flanders is the religious zealot on the show, a likely reference to Steve. Tariq would be Homer Simpson, likely due to the fact that he is bald.
  • This video reveals that KateModern is, in fact, advertising Jack for the new movie Jumper, as well as lonelygirl15.
