Daniel: (Picture of Daniel in diapers.) Who-who's that little cutie? Oh, that's right, it's me. (Cut to Daniel sitting in a chair.) I've been looking over some old baby photos. Um, I'm taking DelMundo's advice of writing something a little more personal. More serious. (Picture of Daniel climbing the walls, then back to Daniel in chair.) Well, not too serious. Jonas, man, I saw your post. That video was weird. I tried to find that motel where you're staying, but it's not listed. Anyway, Sarah hasn't come home yet; I guess that bus ride is just taking its sweet time. Other than that, uh, it's just kind of lonely around here. Mallory got a job working on DelMundo's latest film, so she's really excited, but she's not going to be around as much. I'm happy for her - no, seriously, I am. It's just, you know, I won't get to see her, but I guess that means that I can work on my own screenplay a little bit more. I'm just kind of drawing a blank right now. I guess I had a regular childhood; I mean, same as anyone else. (Picture of Daniel at dinner time.) You know, Hamburger Helper for dinner and parents drunk by bedtime. (Cut back to Daniel.) Ugh, how do people write about their lives? I mean, what do you say? (Picture of Daniel playing, with a giant smile on his face.) Some stuff was fun. (Picture of Daniel with a birthday pizza, complete with Smurfs on top.) Some stuff wasn't. (Cut back to Daniel.) I think that was the only birthday cake they ever got me, and it was probably because my grandmother brought it over. Most years - when they remembered what day it was... I stopped reminding them by, like, I don't know, fourth grade. (School photo of Daniel with a mullet.) Oh, geez! (laughs) I shouldn't even show you this, but this picture pretty much speaks for itself. (Cut back to Daniel.) I actually picked that haircut. Yeah, my dad had a mullet, and I suppose, back then, I still wanted to be like him. Yeah. So no wonder that I make films about ninjas. Huh. This is hard. (sighs) Oh well! Uh, back to work!
