What is it?

Facility J is an Alternate Reality Game, or ARG. It made its first appearance on January 13, 2007 on the site of a YouTube user named TravelerJ19. The videos TravelerJ19 released through YouTube consisted of archival scientific footage from the post World War II era. Their subject matter is genetic engineering. The latest on the Facility J ARG can be found in the LG15 Fan Creations section of the Forum index under In-Depth Discussion. Or just click on the link in the "Active Forum Thread" below.

Facility J was a "State of the Art Government Installation" run by Operation Aphid in the post World War II years.

Chemical J

Following Catalyst (A Call to Action) we are being sent one or two containers at a time of mystery chemical "J". We have been instructed by TravelerJ19 that there are 19 of these samples in total, identified as J1-J19. These chemicals currently have an unknown purpose but we have been instructed by WalterDW to destroy them. Walter has warned us these chemicals tamper with the immune system, so one person can only destroy a limited number. Thus we must work together to destroy them all.

Samples J1 and J2 consisted of a powder and a liquid which were destroyed by being mixed together. Later samples have been colorless, odorless gases which are destroyed by being released to the atmosphere.

In a series of YouTube messages Walter and TravelerJ19 revealed Chemical J to be "The Cure", which Walter described as "the cure for mankind". Walter also described destroying the samples as "helping me with the dirty work," and said "Walter knows best," and "you kids should trust your elders". This had the opposite effect, as seen in the Vial Destruction forum discussion.

The status of the following samples is currently known:

J1 - TravelerJ - February 8, 2007 - destroyed

J2 - McP - February 7, 2007 - destroyed

J3 & J4 - Luminous - March 9, 2007 - destroyed

J5 & J6 - FiremanDan - March 15, 2007 - destroyed

J7 & J8 - Ziola - In transit
