Transcript

(The camera pans over Gavin's "Wall of Hate", showing images of Tariq, Steve, and Kate.)

Gavin: So, Kate. Homeless now, are we? Living on the streets? Oh, well, how terribly interesting for you! "Oh, finding out what the underclasses live like, on the streets of London." Yeah, well, uh, let's see how long you survive with the rats in the sewer, shall we?

(Gavin runs to the front door of the flat, as he hears it being unlocked. He hides behind the door, as Charlie enters. Charlie walks past Gavin toward her room and Gavin follows.)

Gavin: Watch out, it's a rat!

(Charlie jumps, and Gavin laughs.)

Charlie: What the hell is wrong with you, Gav?

Gavin: Nothing's wrong with me. What's wrong with you?

(Charlie sits on her bed and takes off her shoes.)

Charlie: What's wrong with me? I'll tell you what's wrong with me: I've been in virtually every internet café there is in London, trying to find Kate.

Gavin: For God's sake, why?

Charlie: Why? Because she posted up a blog and said she's gonna go and find all the trait positive girls herself, without me!

Gavin: Good! For Christ's sake, i-if Kate wants to go and be the hero of the people, then-then let her! It's just a game to her, anyway.

Charlie: A game? Yeah. Really, really wise, coming from you. You're such a hypocrite! How can you even say that after the way you bullied Lee?

Gavin: Th- That was... funny. Kate's not funny, she's just vain. "I'm living on the streets of London, trying to get down to a size zero." You know, let her find all those girls on the list.

Charlie: No-

Gavin: I hope she starves to death doing it.

Charlie: What- You can't wait for things to go wrong for people, can you? It makes you feel better about yourself.

Gavin: Oh, shut your face.

Charlie: Y-y- You can't let anyone in. You're such a sad person, you can't even be loved, Gav! That's your problem!

Gavin: Well, now you're talking psycho-babble, like your crazy friend Kate. You let her have far too much influence on you.

Charlie: (Grabs a bag off the floor.) You're not even listening to me! You don't need me, you need a therapist. (Shakes her head.) I'm sick of trying to get close to you; I don't want it anymore. I don't want it.

Gavin: W-wait, wait a second. (Pans the camera to his face.) Are you- Are you actually dumping me on camera here? Because, uh, you might want another go at it, love. Because, frankly, your acting stinks. (Laughs and pans the camera back to Charlie.)

Charlie: Get out, Gav.

Gavin: Could you- I'm sorry, could you say that again for me?

Charlie: I said "Get out"!

(Charlie pushes Gavin out of her room, and slams the door in his face.)

Gavin: I might have gone a bit-... I've gone a bit too far. (Clears his throat.) Charlie? (Knocks on her door.) Charlie?

Notes

  • The title is a reference to Peanuts, a cartoon in which the character Charlie Brown utters the phrase, "Good Grief" quite often.
