Transcript

(Opens with a black screen.)

Jonas: Daniel, what the hell happened to you, man? The guy came out, and you were inside, and you had the keys to our car!

Sarah: Yeah, and we were still snooping around in his truck!

Jonas: Yeah, so we hid in here, and then we're locked in it! And, I dunno, we're somewhere on... on the road somewhere, I dunno.

Sarah: Do you have the night vision on?

Jonas: Uhh... (turns night vision on) yeah. (pans camera from self to Sarah)

Sarah: Look, all I'm saying is you better be following us, because we have no idea where we are.

(Camera pans to show stacks of boxes in the back of the truck)

Sarah: (whispering) So fucking ridiculous... (camera pans back to Sarah)

Jonas: You look really weird...

(Scene cuts. A truck horn blares in the background. The camera turns on showing a box labeled "Lullaby Project." The date and time shown in the lower right corner reads "FRI 11/09/07 3:37 PM." Jonas is opening boxes.)

Sarah: Jonas, you don't have to open all of them, they're exactly the same.

(Each box contains liquid glucose, a syringe, and vials of vitamin B12, also known as cyanocobalamin.)

Jonas: (rummaging through a box) Vitamin B12... huh.

(Scene cuts. Date and time reads "SAT 11/10/07 5:02 AM.")

Jonas: Fourteen... hours.

Sarah: (off-camera) How about we play charades?

Jonas: I'm hoping that sooner or later we're gonna find a Wi-Fi signal somewhere.

Sarah: (off-camera) Helen Keller charades...

Jonas: And then I'll send this out. When I can.

Sarah: You can't really play with visuals. You can't see anything. So... I guess we'll play by touch.

Jonas: Sarah, (poked by Sarah) OW! Sarah!

Sarah: Sounds like...

Jonas: Yeah, hopefully you'll get this, and then you'll find us before the bad guys do, or before... (points camera toward self) I kill Sarah.

(Sarah pretends to hang herself. Truck stops short and Sarah and Jonas are thrown by the force.)

Sarah: Ow!

Jonas: (whispering) Where are you?

Sarah: I'm over here.

Jonas: (whispering) Where?

(Scene cuts. Date and time reads "SUN 11/11/07 12:02 PM." Jonas drinks the last of a bottle of liquid glucose.)

Jonas: Great. Another one's empty.

(Camera shows Sarah.)

Jonas: Oh, I have great news for everyone, too. Someone left the camera on, and now it barely has any power.

Sarah: I didn't leave the camera on.

Jonas: (mumbling) Yeah, you did. Would you shut that (referring to the laptop)? We need it to look for a signal.

Sarah: I told you, the penlight is dead and I can't sit here in the dark for another hour.

Jonas: Yeah, well we're gonna BE in the dark if that thing dies, and then we'll never find a signal.

Sarah: Fine. (shuts laptop) Whatever.

(Scene cuts. Date and time reads "SUN 11/11/07 11:17 PM." Jonas appears tired and Sarah seems to be trying to sleep. Scene cuts again. Date and time reads "MON 11/12/07 9:03 AM." Jonas is rummaging through another box and finds what appears to be a food bar of some sort. He waves it at the camera and he and Sarah laugh.)

Sarah: Food! Or something like it.

(Scene cuts to dark)

Jonas: You okay?

Sarah: I can't be in here anymore! I can't be in here anymore, I can't be in here anymore, I can't be in here anymore! (Keeps repeating with escalating volume.)

Jonas: Sarah!

(Night vision turns on. Date and time reads "MON 11/12/07 10:07 PM.")

Sarah: (screaming) Let me out! Let me out! I can't be here!

Jonas: (while physically restraining Sarah) Yes, you can, listen to me--

Sarah: (crying) No!

Jonas: Breathe, breathe. You're okay, I'm right here, breathe! In, out. You're okay! I'm right here with you, I'm right here, we're gonna get out of here.

Sarah: (crying) I can't be here anymore...

(Scene cuts. Date and time reads "TUE 11/13/07 9:00 AM." Jonas is opening the laptop.)

Jonas: Alright, I found a WiFi signal. It's really faint, but I think it's gonna work. I have no idea where we are, but when you get this, I don't know, maybe... maybe you can figure out where we are. I don't know what's gonna happen when that door opens, but uh...wish us luck.

Notes

  • Jonas and Sarah have spent approximately 90 hours, almost 4 days, in the truck at the time of this upload.
  • The question of the whereabouts of bowel movements and urination is left unanswered in this video, as having been in the truck for 4 days both would have inevitably happened.
  • Only one airhole is seen in this whole video. Jonas and Sarah would have suffocated because of the boxes and being in the truck for four days had the airhole not been there.
  • It is assumed that Jonas and Sarah are in either Canada or Mexico, as they are the only countries reasonably accessible by truck from California.
