Jules: Hey guys. I know I said that I wasn't going to be making any more videos, but I had something to talk about that I think is pretty important. So I thought it's worth the risk of my parents catching me. I've been getting a lot of comments lately. Some really good... and thank you for everything that you have to say... and then, some negative. And if it's about, you know, the new languages that I'm learning, they're new. And I haven't really heard anybody pronounce them or teach me how to really pronounce them. So, you know, I'm trying, and I'm putting myself out there and being myself for you guys. I believe that you should accept people for who they are. I don't go to a public school, and I'm not the best speaker, and you know, this is a new camera to me. But, you know, I'm trying and that's all I can give you guys; is me trying and opening up to everyone. The only people I have to play with, interact with, are my family and my little sister. And I can't talk about hot boys or anything. I can show you my dad. But, you know, that's all I have and I have nothing else to show you guys. So this morning, I was kicking around the soccer ball in my backyard. And I was thinking about everything I've been talking to you guys about: my videos, friends, school. And it really made me think about my soccer team. I was really close to friends and I loved my coach. It was great. And then, when my parents took me out, it was really hard on me, 'cause it was something that I enjoyed so much. I do get to see my friends sometimes, though. I have a tutor that's actually at a school. I tell my mom sometimes that it's earlier than it actually is so I can see my old friends. And catch up on things. So, enough of this depressing stuff. EMO!!

Let's talk about something really fun... like my rapping! Hey, I thought it was really good! I might be skinny and white, but hey, you have to give me credit for trying to rap. I thought it was pretty funny actually. You know, come on. Oh, wait wait. I feel one coming on.

(Beatboxes)

I'm skinny and I'm white, I was born that way
I'm sorry I don't sound like Dr. Dre

(Laughs) That was really bad. But oh well. That's me. I'm Julia, and I'm putting myself out there by rapping.

Notes

  • Jules addresses many people's comments regarding her pronunciation of the languages she claims to study. Her explanation is that she's never heard anybody pronounce them. However, in her first blog she says "The [language] I prefer most would have to be French. I guess because it sounds so beautiful. Not coming from me, of course, but if you actually listen to a French person speak the language, it's so amazing." When she says that, it makes it sound like she's heard a lot of French, and enough of the other languages (Spanish, German, etc.) to discern that French was her favorite. She might have been exaggerating her exposure to languages in the first video, or perhaps saying that she's never heard them is just an excuse.
  • Although Jules excuses herself for her bad pronunciation, most of the criticism surrounded her grammar, which was also incorrect in most occasions.
  • The audio lags multiple times in this video.
