Transcript

(Charlie is running down the stairs in her building.)

Charlie: Guess what. I bought a car! I know, I know, I was only talking about it the other day, but- Look, I went down to the showroom and I just couldn't resist. (Squeals.) I'm so excited. And I got an amazing deal on it. Come on, I'm gonna show you now.

(Charlie heads out of her building.)

Introducing my brand new Aygo Platinum by Toyota! (Turns the camera around to show her new car.) Ta-da! Isn't she the most beautiful thing you've ever seen? (Squeals.) I think I'm in love! Look, come on; let me give you a tour.

(Cut to Charlie inside the car.)

As you can see, the beautiful Toyota Aygo has all the latest features! (Cut to a shot of the radio console.) Note the banging stereo. (Charlie turns on the radio and screams as she bangs her head around. Cut to Charlie turning up the A/C.) Air conditioning. (Pretends to dry her hair with the air vent.)

(Cut to Charlie taking an exterior shot of the car.) The sleek curves and aerodynamic profile... (Cut to Charlie laying down inside the car.) And wonderfully spacious interior. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to take this bad boy for a drive.

(Cut to Charlie turning a key in the ignition and the car starts up.) Oh dammit, my wallet!

(Charlie turns off the car and gets out. As she heads for her building, Steve approaches.)

Charlie: Steve. Hey!

Steve: What's this?

Charlie: Oh, you mean Aygo? Isn't she the most beautiful thing you've ever seen? I think she needs a better name than that, though. Maybe one of you guys out there in bebo-land can help me think of a name for her.

Steve: Glad a lump of metal can make you so happy.

Charlie: I'm sorry?

Steve: I just didn't realize I was the only one who still cares about finding out what happened to Kate.

Charlie: Piss off, Steve! Do you really think I'm gonna stand here and listen to you lecturing me after everything I've been through? You know, I'm just trying to move on with my life. This is the first time I've even been a little bit happy in ages! You need to grow up!

(Charlie pushes past Steve toward her flat.)

Steve: Yeah, bye then! You have fun with your new toy! I'll just be here looking for Kate's killer!

(Cut to Charlie walking in her building toward the door of her flat. She opens the door and a glimpse of a naked guy holding a small towel in front of his privates with one hand is caught on camera as Charlie walks toward her room. As the door closes, Charlie turns around to look at him.)

Charlie: What do you think you're doing?

Niall: (Laughs.) Oh, g'day. How's it going? Nice cam.

Charlie: Who are you?

Niall: I'm Niall. Kyle's mate.

(Niall walks toward Charlie with his free hand outstretched.)

Charlie: No-no-no, stay there! Don't come any closer! Don't come any closer.

Niall: Didn't he mention that I was staying?

Charlie: No, he didn't.

Niall: It's just for a couple of days, anyway.

(Niall grabs a newspaper and sits on the toilet as Charlie walks past into the main room.)

Niall: Where's your bog roll at, mate? I've gotta drop the kids off at the pool.
