I told him to park on the street and then call once and hang up. I'm gonna climb out that window. Don't worry, it's really easy. There's a tree and I'm an excellent climber. (''gives the "thumbs up" sign'') And then Daniel's gonna take me to the party. The only thing is, I've never done anything against my Dad's wishes and I kinda feel like the sky's gonna fall on my head.

I’m Going to the Party! is the thirty-second video in the lonelygirl15 video series. This video is correctly called "I’m Going to the Party!", with a punctuation apostrophe (right single quotation mark) instead of a typewriter apostrophe - it resides here for easier accessibility.

Bree: Okay, I'm gonna talk kind of quiet because...I decided to go to that party with Daniel. In about an hour Daniel's gonna be here. I told him to park on the street and then call once and hang up. I'm gonna climb out that window. Don't worry, it's really easy. There's a tree and I'm an excellent climber. (gives the "thumbs up" sign) And then Daniel's gonna take me to the party. The only thing is, I've never done anything against my Dad's wishes and I kinda feel like the sky's gonna fall on my head.

(musical montage in which Bree dances around in the background and tries on different outfits)

And in the end my Mom sided with my Dad so technically, I'm going against both their wishes. I think my Mom will side with me. If I get caught. Anyway, I'm excited. I've never been to a party before.

(musical montage in which Bree arranges her bed with pillows and stuffed animals to apparently fake her being in bed)

I made Daniel swear that he cannot make a video about me at this party no matter what happens. That was the agreement. Ok, I've got to go now. Bye.

Notes

  • Bree is not wearing a hat, but she is wearing something on her head.
  • Bree's decision to disobey her parents and desire to do things that make herself happy could be interpreted an act of feminism.
