Transcript

(Jennie walks and finds a place to sit down.)

Jennie: Is this okay?

Sarah: Yes.

(Cuts to Jennie with her head really close to the camera.)

Jennie: I don't see where it says that.

Sarah: It's on, just say something.

(Jennie goes to sit back down.)

Jennie: Okay. What do I say?

Sarah: I don't know, we only have five minutes. Just say something.

Jennie: My name is Jennie. And I'm coming to you today from the center of our lovely new Lullaby Village.

Sarah: Claudia calls it the "Global Lullaby Village."

Jennie: Yes, yes, but no offense to Claudia. But "Global Lullaby Village" for some reason reminds me of that ride, It's A Small World. You float down this dark stream while listening to the phrase, (Sings) "It's a small world after all" being sung repeatedly by animatronics. Shades of Leni Riefenstahl.

Sarah: Who's that?

Jennie: She made propaganda films for Hitler. On a lighter note, we moved today. Um, the Lullaby Project, that is. And today was Sarah's first relocation. Yay Sarah. (Jennie claps and Sarah cheers quietly in the background.) Come say hi to (beckons Sarah over) whoever [sic].

Sarah: Okay.

(Sarah goes and sits down next to Jennie)

Sarah: (Referring to tripod, on which she has now placed the camera.) I brought this.

Jennie: I see that.

Sarah: Trained professional.

Jennie: Say hello.

Sarah: Hey (wave)

Jennie: Why don't you tell everyone about what we've done the past few days, Sarah.

Sarah: Well, we packed up the tents, put the tents on a truck, took the tents off the truck...

Jennie: (laughing) And then we drove all the way here to our new Global Lullaby Home and set everything back up again up here in the mountains.

Sarah: Yes, presto. Instant medical complex.

Jennie: Yes. The Lullaby Project is like the sea monkey of medical complexes.

Sarah: (Incredulously) What??

Jennie: What, you don't know what a sea monkey is?

Sarah: No, I'm just a little surpised by the obscure reference.

Jennie: Oh c'mon! (hip bumps Sarah) You know me by now!

Sarah: Yes... yes.

Jennie: (Getting really close to the camera.) I'm all about obscure.

Sarah: So these people, the something-or-other Indians.

Jennie: Tarahumara.

Sarah: They were really happy to see us. And um, they even brought out this huge feast.

Jennie: And you were Miss Awesomeness for helping them clean up afterwards.

Sarah: Aww.... eh.

Jennie: Yes! (Gestures to high five Sarah.)

Sarah: High fiving is kinda lame.

Jennie: No, it's not.

Sarah: Yeah, a little bit. Put your hand down. (She pulls Jennie's hand down.)

Jennie: Should we end this?

Sarah: Well, we have a few more minutes, so why don't you tell everybody how you got hooked up with the Lullaby Project?

Jennie: Why?

Sarah: It's kinda inspiring.

Jennie: No it's not.

Sarah: Yes it is.

Jennie: I'm tired.

Sarah: Okay, I will tell them. This is the Jennie story! She was in... Wa...

Jennie: Oaxaca.

Sarah: ...Oaxaca, studying Anthropology.

Jennie: Yes. My field study was over, and I totally wasn't into going back to Berkley yet. I honestly wanted to do something to help people rather than just study them, so I volunteered for the Lullaby Project, and here I am!

Sarah: You rock.

Jennie: No, you rock.

Sarah: You rockity-rock.

Jennie: (Faces camera and points at Sarah.) Rockity-rock!

Sarah: She tried to high-five me.

Jennie: What?

Sarah: I'm just sayin'

(Jennie laughs.)

Notes

  • Jennie is not the only one who attended UC Berkley; Creators Greg and Amanda Goodfried both attended the school as well.
  • Both the title as well as the description are thinly veiled sexual references.
