Transcript

(Footage of Jonas in an empty parking lot is seen.)

Jonas: (voiceover) Well, I met with the reporter, and Daniel watched from afar just in case something happened. You know, at first I thought he was the guy who tipped us off to Verdus, because, you know, how else would they have known where we were. (Jonas approaches the reporter and pushes him to the ground.) But when I met him, he was just as freaked out as I was about what happened. He didn't send that note and call for the meeting. It wasn't him. (The reporter gets up and starts walking away.) And without Dr. Hart, he can't print the story, which is ridiculous.

(Cut to Jonas in front of a black wall.)

Jonas: It's ridiculous because he knows the truth. He knows. He knows, but he says he can't print a story without concrete evidence. Concrete. You know, what's concrete? How about a year and a half of videos? How about the forums, the blogs, that's not concrete?

(Cut back to the Jonas talking to the reporter at the parking lot.)

Jonas: (voiceover) He said no one would believe us. The person that they would believe is Dr. Hart. And he's gone.

(Cut back to Jonas.)

Jonas: And he did make that video, but, you know, he didn't say enough. There's a lot more to the story. Dr. Hart was assigned to the Lullaby Project down in Mexico. They wanted him to go down there and find out why all of these women were miscarrying. So he went down there, he got to work, and he found out a lot of these babies were carrying the trait positive marker. Which, I guess at first fascinated him. You know, he thought he discovered this whole group of people who were genetically predisposed to being trait positive. Yippee, you know, party time. The only problem is he discovered that they were giving these women gene therapy, which didn't work most of the time. You know, the babies were born normally without any trait. But when it did work, one of two things happened. One, the therapy caused them to miscarry. Or two, in very rare cases, women gave birth to a trait positive girl. The thing is they didn't tell them. They told them that they miscarried. They didn't even know about the kid. That's when Dr. Hart started compiling evidence. So he started researching, and the eventually found our site, our videos. And when he found that Sarah and I were down touring the Lullaby Project, he started slipping us the evidence. I guess he didn't want anybody going through what Gina went through.

(Cut back to Jonas and the reporter.)

Jonas: (voiceover) But you know, it was all for nothing. I thought maybe at least his disappearance would cause some attention. Someone would do something.

(Cut back to Jonas.)

Jonas: Maybe the reporter could write about that. But, no, he called Verdus, and they said that he wasn't dead. He'd just been reassigned. Yeah, transferred to the jungle, I think they said. And then they put some guy on the phone claiming to be Dr. Hart. So what does that mean? Does that mean he's still alive? Was that guy pretending to be Dr. Hart? I don't know. I don't know. Tell you what I do know, at least I think I know. I think I know why Verdus found us. (pauses) Emma. I told her not to blog. Remember the video where she was talking about the pastries. The fattigann, fattigmann cookies, whatever they were. I think they call them "poor man's cookies". Well, you know what? How many bakeries do you think sell those things? So from there they found where we were and they slipped us that bogus note calling for that meeting that we walked right into. We tried everything.

(Cut back to Jonas and the reporter.)

Jonas: (voiceover) I mean, this was it. We had everything in place. But I'm not giving up. There's an answer.

(Cut back to Jonas.)

Jonas: I'm gonna find it.

  • At the time the video was uploaded, it was listed twice on the main page, once under ID 463 and once under ID 464.
  • On 12/26, the day after the video was uploaded, Jonas posted the following message:

On Christmas day we tried our best to be merry even though we're terribly worried about Dr. Hart. Emma made some gingerbread cookies and Daniel whipped up a brew of hot apple cider (don't worry, it was non-alcoholic). We mostly sat around all day watching your typical Christmas day movies: It's A Wonderful Life, Elf, and that movie where the kid puts his tongue on the flagpole. It was pretty uneventful, which is why we haven't uploaded a video. However, a few hours ago, Daniel checked the mailbox and discovered a surprise - a red velvet stocking. Inside was nothing but a flash drive. We were kind of freaked out at first, since we were pretty sure it was Virgil's "gift." After debating whether to open it or not, Emma finally just picked it up and put it in the computer. There was only one file on it - "P. Monkey Email." It was kinda freaky at first, but then we got excited. After Daniel sent the file to La Rezisto, which turned out to be nothing more than the Rogue Elder, we thought we'd lost this precious information forever. I guess Virgil must have recovered it after he took out Claire. Virgil, if you're out there, thanks for getting this back to us. We're not sure what to do with it and we have a few things we need to deal with before we make it public. I promise we'll be more careful with it this time and your efforts to get us the file won't go in vein.

Later, Jonas

P.S. Seeing the email and reading the words "P. Monkey" kinda depressed me.
