Transcript

(An extreme close-up on Lee's face, in night vision.)

Lee: Hi, guys! I was wondering... would it be possible for you to write me a reference? (laughs maniacally) Listen guys, I've been thinking, and I'm gonna give you one more chance to get your software. No, no, a real chance this time! All you've got to do is pay some dues and your software will be with you as quickly as you can say...

(Quickly cuts to black, and multi-colored alphanumerics and punctuation symbols flash on the screen, while frantic synthesized music plays. Cuts back to Lee.)

Lee: ...and backwards...

(Cuts back to black screen, and the alphanumerics punctuation symbols flash in reverse order, while "backwards" music plays. Cuts back to Lee.)

Lee: ...and upside-down...

(Cuts back to black screen, and all the symbols -- now upside-down -- float from different parts of the screen, settling in a line in the middle, while lower-pitched music plays. Cuts back to Lee.)

Lee: So! All you've got to do is play along, and that software will be yours! But if you don't, then somebody else will find it, and all of that software will be in someone else's hands! And wouldn't that be a shame, Gavin, after all that hard work that you've done, that you didn't get it just because you were too lazy or too stubborn to join in! (cuts to even more extreme close-up of Lee's mouth) You wouldn't want that, would you Gavin?? (cuts to shot of Lee's face. He salutes them) Happy hunting, gentlemen!

  • The code Lee shows in this video is : /?v=2&cid=116264F0DD5D8C5F!103&encType=1
When you put this code into Live Search Maps, you get this: http://maps.live.com/?v=2&cid=116264F0DD5D8C5F!103&encType=1, a perimeter within London.

Today marks the start of a very exciting week in the KateModern World. Lee has set a challenge for Gavin and Tariq that they must complete if they want to get their software back.

Lee’s Profile: http://www.bebo.com/mrsphinx

They need YOUR help to solve the puzzles that Lee is going to be setting, and every day next week there’ll be a Live Event somewhere in Central London. We really want you to be there to play a part in Lee’s games!

Thanks to our friends at Microsoft we have some great prizes to give away, and everyone who attends a Live Event will be entered into a prize draw. The more days you attend, the more chance you have of winning a prize.

Things are going to be pretty busy over here on Bebo so don’t worry if you can’t make it to London – Gavin and Tariq are going to need your help online too! Extra clues are going to be hidden on The Sun Online ( http://www.thesun.co.uk/tv ) – so keep a look out there.
