Lonelygirl15 Connection is the second fan-fic video by LonesomeOctober. Purple Monkey talks about his true feelings for Bree, in song!

Transcript

(Purple Monkey is sitting on a log; we see trees behind him. He clears his throat and gathers himself. The music to "The Rainbow Connection" starts.)

P. Monkey: (sings)

Why are there so many posts about Lonelygirl
And whether she's real or not?
Some think she's just a kid, or maybe a sales shill
Everyone thinks that she's hot
I watch these vids five or six times an hour
My boss is unhappy with me
Someday I'll find it, the Lonelygirl connection
With YouTube and Daniel and Bree
Why are the forums filled with doubt and suspicion
Regarding this sweet girl's vblogs?
Is it the editing, or maybe the fill light
This isn't produced by some slob
And then there's that new Rolling Stone cover
It just doesn't look right to me
Someday we'll find it, the Lonelygirl connection
Bob Dylan and Daniel and Bree
All of us under their spell
We're sure that it's probably viral...
And why are their so many allusions to Crowley?
His image, his birthday, his name?
I don't think this bodes well for Bree and for Daniel
But it makes a hell of a game!
I'll go on watching, along with all you guys
There's no place that I'd rather be
Someday we'll find it, the Lonelygirl connection
With Crowley and Daniel and Bree
La da dee da da dee da
La da dee da, I love Bree

(he adorably leans to the side as the music ends)

Notes

  • The line "Some think she's just a kid, or maybe a sales shill" is a reference to the belief, common at the time, that lonelygirl15 was part of a viral marketing campaign.
  • The line about Crowley and the line about Bob Dylan are both references to Bree The Cookie Monster.
  • A "fill light" is used in television and film lighting, to provide sufficient illumination and to reduce the visual contrast of a shot.
  • The line "It makes a hell of a game" is a reference to the many fans who believed lonelygirl15 was an Alternate Reality Game.
