Transcript

(A door closes on a view of the city street. Pan to see Sarah heading towards a staircase. She is holding a bouquet of flowers. Sarah gafaws as she looks over her shoulder looking a Daniel offscreen.)

Sarah: Wow...

Daniel: The things I do to get a smile out of you...

Sarah: Oh, no no no no no. You're not doing this for me, you're doing this for your new girlfriend... Kelly.

Daniel: Haha. Ahh no.

Sarah: You know, give me that.

Daniel: (mumbles something)...girlfriends.

Sarah: Anyway you're the one who should be on camera, so...

(Sarah takes the camera from Daniel and turns it to show Daniel in a clown outfit. Daniel shrugs. Sarah and Daniel laugh together. Daniel blows his clown hair out of his face.)

Sarah: So, how did you get her name anyway.

Daniel: I called up Verdus and asked for Ted McKinley's office and when she answered we started talking and I could tell she kinda dug me so... I asked her for her name. She gave it to me.

Sarah: Smooth... (Camera pans back to Sarah) For a clown. {Camera turns back to Daniel) How do you know he wouldn't be there.

Daniel: Kelly said he would be in a conference... All day. ('Daniel drops a bicycle horn and bends down to pick it up.)

Sarah: You are ridiculous.

Daniel: Heh, heh. Shut up.

(Cut to Daniel inside an elevator pushing a floor button.)

Sarah: I can't believe let us walk right in.

Daniel: Nobody questions a clown. Give me those flowers.

(Sarah hands the flowers to Daniel. Daniel faces the elevator door and waits for them to open. The door opens and he walks out. He proceeds through the halls and hops into an office with a flourish. He hands the flowers to Kelly. He begins dancing and singing in a silly voice.)

Daniel: You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are gray. You'll never know, dear, how much I love you. So don't take my sunshine away... (Daniel honks his horn. Kelly tentatively claps her hands.)

(Cut to Sarah roaming the halls, finding a computer with the match.com site on it.)

Sarah: Okay. So, Mr. Happy Clown convinced Ted's assistant that he needed a glass of water or something. You know, too many hours of singing clown-o-grams. Anyways, they're in the staff lounge, which leaves me to look for... (Sarah looks at the computer screen for the first time and pauses.) Nice. Looks like somebody needs a date. Anyway. Okay. So I'm searching saved emails. Searching... Searching... Searching... Heh. Loser. Let this be a lesson to you all. Never leave your company message system login and password confirmation in your saved email's box and then leave your computer on. You never know who might stop by the office when you're out. Okay, so. (Sarah takes out a pen and begins writing on her hand.) Login. TMAC. (A door is heard opening and closing. Sarah quickly takes the camera and bolts.)

(Cut to see Ted entering the office)

Ted: I can't believe I had to come all the back to get the notes for my speech just because you weren't answering the phone.

Kelly: I'm sorry Mr. McKinley... I had a singing telegram from a secret admirer. Heh. It was just a clown.

(Ted goes to his workstation)

Ted: And what did you decide, to give the clown a tour around the office.

Kelly: I'm sorry.

Ted: Sorry isn't good enough. I already had my day interrupted and I might not make it back in time to make it to the panel. Next time you answer that phone.

(Cut to Daniel running down the stairs)

Daniel: I can't believe you didn't get the password, it was right there in front of you.

Sarah: Yeah, ya know I can't believe you let McKinley walk right in. What would you have done if I got caught?

Daniel: I don't know. Maybe some juggling. You coming?
