Transcript
(Charlie is lying on her bed.)
Charlie: Hey, guys, I hope you're doing okay. I know I haven't really said too much about what happened between me and Steve at Steve's place, but I've definitely been thinking about it. You know, I think a lot of things changed suddenly for him and I didn't want to pressure him into anything, you know? I just thought that, when the time was right, he'd come and see me.
So, when I got home, I was a little surprised to see that he was here. But then I realized that he wasn't here to see me.
(Cut to Charlie unlocking the door to the flat. She walks into her room and sets her purse on the bed. Cut to Charlie walking down the hallway to the living room, where she finds Lauren and Steve poring over papers.)
Lauren: Charlie, get that thing off!
Steve: Hey.
Charlie: Hey.
Steve: Look, Charlie, I-I wanted to speak with you-
Charlie: Yeah, no- You don't have to explain. Don't- don't worry about it, it's fine.
Steve: Good to see you.
Charlie: Yeah. You, too. (Pans to the table, covered with papers.) What are you guys doing? (Zooms in on the papers.) Oh, this again? Guys, can you just give it a rest? You've got no idea what you're getting into!
Steve: Sorry, Charlie, but... we've had a bit of a break-through. The Elder, the one our American friends are looking for - we've found out where he's based. We've just sent an email off to the states now. I'm convinced they're gonna come over.
Lauren: And we'll team up against the Order.
Charlie: Steve, why the hell would you want them here? You're just putting us on the Order's radar.
Lauren: Bring it on!
Steve: Yeah!
Charlie: You're just gonna get Lauren and us back in more danger.
Lauren: We'd have heard from them by now.
Steve: Yeah, the ball's in our court.
Lauren: Now we got balls? (Grins.)
Steve: Yeah... I-it's our destiny to destroy the Order. I think we're doing a pretty good job so far. (High fives Lauren.)
Charlie: This is pathetic.
(Lauren laughs and Charlie begins leaving.)
Lauren: Both sides of the Pacific...
Steve: Atlantic?
Lauren: Oh.
(Charlie walks back to her room. Cut to her next to her her bed.)
Charlie: They're not listening to me. Just like Kate didn't listen to me, either. So this is Steve's calling, is it? To get himself killed? (Sighs angrily as she turns off the camera.)
