Description Having a new girl friend around might end up the cat's meow...or being total applesauce. Let's just hope she stays off the giggle water! ;)

Transcript

Anne: Over dinner last night -- Beans Again! -- My parents and the Van Daans were discussing my recent problems. I Van Daans suggested that I spend more time with Miep. Miep is one of our helpers. She brings us food, and newspapers, and sometimes chocolate. The Van Daans suggested that I spend less time with Peter and more time with Miep. Besides, Miep can kind of council me on what it's going to be like in the outside world when we get out of here. I think I'm going to like having a girl friend. Usually I get along better with boys, I don't know why. The only girl I've ever gotten along with is my older sister Margot. But, since she switched rooms, I haven't seen a whole lot of her. Which is kind of weird, considering our situation. I though I'd get ready for Miep coming over by enacting our first conversation. (Holds Up Bethany) Bethany is going to play me, (Holds up Flask) and this flask is going to play Miep. (Holds out Bethany and Flask alternatively) Me, Miep, Me, Miep. (Looks at flask) Sorry, it's all I had. I'm sure Miep is much prettier than a flask, and less drunk. (Holds out Flask and Bethany alternatively) Miep, Me. (Cut to Bethany and Flask)

Bethany: Hi Miep! Do you want to learn about ants? They can carry fifty times their body weight!

Flask: Nooooo! Lets do our make-up! Let's put our hair in pan curls!

Bethany: Okay, I guess. But can you tell me anything about Queen Wilhelmina's latest address?

Flask: Nooooo! But I can tell you she was wearing a pretty dress!

(Cut back to Anne)

Anne: Well, I hope the real meeting goes better than that did. No wonder I get along better with boys. (Cut to black, then cut back to Anne holding up Bethany and the flask) Ahhh! Drink it! (Makes Bethany drink out of the flask).
