(Lauren adjusts the camera as she and Charlie sit in the car. Lauren leans back and looks to her laptop.)

Charlie: Hey, guys, thanks so much. You figured out that Jules was trying to tell us to go to her gabcast account. She left us a message, and here's what it says.

(Lauren plays the clip in the laptop.)

Julia: Hi. It's me, Jules. Look, the only time I'm going to be able to get away from Rupert is at the party he's holding to unveil Michelle Clore's last work. It's gonna be at a private collector's house 'round the corner from the Louvre. I'm gonna make a run for it when he does his speech. Please be there, ready. Thank you so much. Okay, guys, I love you.

(Charlie looks around as Lauren sighs.)

Charlie: Do you think we're in the right place, then?

Lauren: Yeah. I said so, didn't I?

Charlie: Well, what are we supposed to do now?

Lauren: Nothing. (Closes the laptop.)

Charlie: Geez, I thought it would just be natural that you'd be interested in this.

Lauren: And what would you know about that?

Charlie: I'm just saying, because of how it ended with Michelle Clore and everything... (Lauren rubs her face, irritated.) Well, it's just natural for you to be a bit freaked out about it.

(Charlie sighs, rolling her eyes. She drums on the steering wheel and looks outside.)

Charlie: I hope Toe and Steve are okay.

Lauren: I'm sure they're absolutely fine. What we even supposed to be doing here?

Charlie: I don't know. Jules just said "be ready". I don't think busting into Rupert's party is one for the "Good Ideas List" at all.

Lauren: Yeah.

Charlie: Stuff this. Do you think we should try and move closer?

Lauren: Yeah, c'mon.

(Lauren sighs and grabs the camera. Cut to Charlie driving.)

Charlie: Hey, is that Steve?

Lauren: Yeah.

(Charlie rolls down her window and stops near Steve, who is watching across the street from behind a tree. She whispers out to him.)

Charlie: Steve! Steve! Where've you been?

Steve: Hey. (Walks over to the car.) I, uh, I had went after that guy, didn't I? And then when I came back to find you guys, the car had gone.

Charlie: Why didn't you just stay where you were?

Steve: I did; I stayed there for ages, you know, freezing. Then I got hungry and I went for something to eat and I... I got a little lost.

Charlie: Whatever. We still haven't heard from Toe.

Steve: Really?

Charlie: Yeah. And Lauren and I stayed in the car all last night waiting for you.

Steve: I'm sorry.

Charlie: How did you know that we'd be here, anyway?

Steve: Well, I- I just thought this was--

(Lauren pans the camera to a building across the street to see Julia exiting with her bodyguard.)

Lauren: Oi. Oi! It's Jules.

Charlie: Oh my god, it's Jules! (Julia gets into a waiting car.) How did you know that we'd be here, anyway?

(Cut to the bodyguard walking around to the other side of the car.)

Charlie: We've got to follow them. Steve, get in.

Steve: Okay.

(Steve is heard getting into the back seat. The bodyguard gets into the driver's side of Julia's car and drives away.)

Lauren: Well, hang on; maybe I should stay here and check out the viewing.

Steve: What?

Charlie: Are you mental?

Lauren: I just think one of us should see what Rupert's doing.

Charlie: No, there's no way. We're sticking together from now on, alright?

(Charlie drives, following Julia's car. Cut to Charlie still following the other car down a different street.)

Steve: What's he doing?

Charlie: It must have been a setup. We've missed our chance! He's got Toe and now he's got Jules, too.

Lauren: We don't know that.

Steve: Yeah, we don't know anything.

Charlie: I'm not gonna leave Jules to those bastards.

Steve: Yeah, I know, but...

Charlie: No, nothing. We're following that car.

(Cut to Charlie following Julia's car to an intersection.)

Steve: That sign doesn't even make sense. It tells us to go different ways.

Lauren: She's just got to follow the car, Steve.

Steve: Yeah, I know, but suppose you can't the car. Mind, I--

Charlie: You're stressing me out!

Steve: Alright!

(Lauren films Charlie driving and pans to Steve in the back seat.)

Steve: What?

(Lauren pans back to the windshield. Cut to Charlie following Julia's car on a highway. Cut to Lauren filming building outside of the car.)

Lauren: Looks a bit weird, doesn't it?

Charlie: It's not exactly the nicest area...

(Cut to Charlie turning around a corner.)

Charlie: Crap. Where the hell did they go?

Lauren: I swear it went down here to the right.

Charlie: Shit!

(Charlie bangs on the steering wheel. Cut to the car turning at a corner. Lauren spots Julia's car parked nearby and zooms in on it.)

Lauren: See? Hey! Hey, there it is!

Charlie: Oh my god, it's them.

Lauren: On the right, on the right.

Steve: Shh...

Charlie: Oh my god, it's here.

Steve: About bloody time.

Charlie: Quick. Let's go.

(Cut to Lauren exiting the car. She looks around and Charlie walks ahead.)

Charlie: I think this is the entrance.

(Charlie leads the way to a tunnel across the street.)

Charlie: Come on.

(Cut to Charlie walking into a stairwell. She looks around as Steve points to the stairs.)

Steve: Right here. The stairs. This way, surely.

Charlie: It smells.

(Steve leads the way up several flights of stairs. He stops at a landing.)

Steve: Oh, no. I'm-I'm really not sure about this.

Charlie: Come on.

(Charlie pushes past Steve and leads up more flights of stairs.)

Lauren: Oh, come on, Steve, grow some balls. Have you never been on the state before?

Steve: It's not that! It's just- Does this really seem like the kind of place Rupert would be hanging out in?

Charlie: No, but it's exactly the type of place you'd hide someone in, now isn't it?

(They reach another landing where three men are arguing in French. They stop and question what they are doing there. Steve pushes ahead of Charlie and continues up another flight of stairs to a plaza.)

Charlie: Come on.

(Lauren films several people around the plaza and pans to Steve.)

Steve: What are we doing here?

Charlie: Jules!

Steve: This is ridiculous, man! I mean, look at it. How are we gonna find her in this lot?

(Lauren pans up, showing several apartment buildings overlooking the plaza.)

Charlie: She's got to be here.

Steve: Jules!

Charlie: Jules!

(Cut to Charlie and Steve walking across the plaza to another building. A man gets up as the walk by.)

Man: Whoa. Qu'est-ce que vous faites de Clore?

Charlie: No, we're just- we're just going this way.

Steve: Yeah, we're just- we're just passing through. Just- Let's go, Charlie.

Charlie: Yep.

(Cut to several more men approaching them, including the ones from the stairwell.)

Man: Qu'est-ce qui se passe?

(The crowd surrounds them, taunting them.)

Steve: Guys... guys...

(Lauren pans to see two more men approaching from the other side. They grab the camera.)

Steve: Guys, come on. Please.

Man with the camera: Oh! C'est ça la famille! Si, si!

Steve: What? We've just met. Okay.

Lauren: Give it back!

(The man with the camera holds it out of Lauren's reach.)

Steve: Hey, hey!

(Another man grabs the camera.)

Charlie: Easy.

Steve: We'll get another camera, okay?

(The camera is passed around several more times and turns to Lauren.)

Lauren: Steve...

Steve: Leave it.

Lauren: Give me the fucking camera back!

Steve: Lauren, calm down.

Lauren: Get off me!

Man: Look, look, look. I got the money. I got the money.

Charlie: Lauren!

Steve: Lauren!

Lauren: I don't want your money!

Charlie: It doesn't matter. Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it.

(A man tries to calm Lauren down and another gets agressive with Steve. Lauren pushes the man away from her.)

Lauren: Don't you DARE fucking touch me.

Charlie: Steve, don't worry about it.

Steve: Okay, okay, okay.

Charlie: Steve...

(A man pushes Steve down.)

Charlie: Steve! (Several men hold Charlie back as they address Steve.) Steve! Steve! Steve!

Steve: Alright, alright.

Man: Give me the money.

Steve: Okay, alright. No, I'm fine. I'm fine.

Man: Where's the money? Go and get the money. Show me your pocket.

Steve: I haven't got any. (Takes a piece of paper from his pocket.) Here.

Man: What's that? What's that?

Steve: Take it.

Man: What is that?

(The man with the paper unfolds it, revealing a pamphlet for Michelle Clore's final piece.)

Steve: I haven't got anything else. Look. (Turns out his pockets.) It's empty. It's empty.

Man: Pas d'argent...

Steve: I haven't got any more money.

Man: I don't care. Fucking drop. Where's the money?

Steve: Hey! Hey, hey!

Lauren: I don't believe it!

(The men push Steve to the ground and clamber over him. A whistle is heard and the men stop. Lauren turns to find the bodyguard approaching. The bodyguard tells the men to leave them alone, and the men reply that there is no problem. They help Steve up.)

Steve: Okay. Yeah, yeah. Alright. (The man gives back Steve's pamphlet.) Ah, merci. Okay, yeah.

Bodyguard: Come with me, come with me. Come with me.

(Charlie and Steve looks nervously back at the crowd. Lauren walks in front of the camera and grabs it.)

Lauren: Give me that NOW!

(They follow the bodyguard into a building.)

Steve: What are we doing?

(They follow him up a flight of stairs and out to a door. He leads the way in as Steve looks nervously at the camera. The bodyguard gestures to a closed door.)

Steve: Charlie... Charlie, seriously.

(Charlie opens the door and enters.)

Charlie: Jules? Jules!

(Julia turns to Charlie from the window. Anthony is sitting on a couch.)

Lauren: Jules!

Steve: No way!

(Julia hugs Charlie.)

Charlie: Oh, thank god you're okay!

Julia: Charlie, honey, I love you!

Steve: Are you all right?

Julia: Oh, Steve! (Hugs Steve.)

(Lauren pans to Anthony.)

Anthony: Got right bread?

Charlie: Who's the guy in the suit?

Julia: Oh. It's alright. He's my bodyguard. In other words, he's supposed to be looking after me. But he saw what Rupert was doing and wanted to help.

Steve: Oh. We better not put this online, then, eh?

Julia: No. Steve, I want Rupert to see it. He's going away soon after this, anyway. I want Rupert to see it 'cause I want him to see that I have friends and that people do care about me. (Hugs Charlie.) Oh, I love you all so much. (Hugs Steve.)

Steve: We know, Julia.

Julia: Just one last thing, yeah? What the hell happened to Lee?

(Lauren pans to Anthony.)

Charlie: Oh. Let's get out of here and I'll tell you all about it on the way.

Julia: Okay.

(Charlie puts her arm around Julia and they leave together. Julia smiles at the camera.)

Steve: Alright. Thank you. Thank you. (Tries to shake the bodyguard's hand.) Okay. (Leaves.)

(Lauren starts to leave and turns to Anthony.)

Lauren: Come on, let's go, Toerag.

Anthony: Right, let's go.

Steve: (Gestures to the bodyguard.) We might need him.

Notes

  • Charlie repeats the line "How did you know that we'd be here, anyway?" twice. She did something similar in the video Creepy.
