Transcript

(Camera pans a bunch of trees, slowly making it's way to Gina)

Gina: Look familiar? Last time we were here, there was a lot of snow. So this is where we've been for the last week. And I know that going offline was a bit extreme but being under constant attack finally took it's toll on us. And we just needed to take some time to cool off. Kind of take stock on the whole situation, you know? (Cut to Gina with her arms crossed leaning on the edge of the porch) (Laughs) Being on the hit list for an evil cult can get pretty stressful. And we all have our own way of coping. Who's to say which way is right?

(Music starts to play and Gina is shown collecting twigs from outside the cabin.)

Gina: (voice over) So before, when I lived at the Hart Study, I would close my eyes and imagine a place without needles or examining rooms. A place where I never felt sick.

(Cut to Gina walking back to the cabin, talking to the camera.)

Gina: Well, now you know my way of coping. Escape. But how bout everybody else? Let's see... Sarah. She's been talking to Carl every day and he's great! And so is she!

(Cut to Gina gluing twigs onto a sheet of paper on the back porch. The music continues to play.)

Gina: (voice over) And now we know hers. (Camera cuts to Gina's project: a sheet of paper that spells "Denial" in twigs) Denial.

(Cut to a shot of Gina talking to the camera with her art supplies behind her.)

Gina: And Jennie's? Well maybe you can guess.

(Camera shows Gina working on another art project depicting Jennie's coping mechanism. She's shown pouring dirt over an invisible glue heart.)

Gina: (voice over) Jennie's keeping us together. Checking in on me, Emma, and even Sarah. She's always asking us if we're okay. Care taking. I just hope that she remembers to take care of herself too. And the boys. (Laughs) The boys...

(Gina lifts the heart to the camera, hinting that Jonas is Jennie's way of keeping sane. The shot then cuts to Gina holding the camera while sitting on the back porch. The remnants of what is left of her twigs are behind her.)

Gina: So Jonas and Daniel see last week as a temporary setback in their efforts to bring down the Order. Instead of fighting from home, they decided to fight from here.

(Gina gets up and the shot cuts to her making a poster out of the twigs and leaves.)

Gina: (voice over) They've set up a perimeter around the cabin and they take turns keeping watch. Testosterone.

(The music continues to play and Gina holds up her poster. It says, "FIGHT!!" on the top in dirt and has pictures of Fight The Order fliers. The shot cuts to Gina holding the camera once again with the railing in her background.)

Gina: And then there's Emma. We've both been hunted, locked up, and abused by the Order. But somehow she's managed to rise above it all and become this... this bold person.

(Cut to Gina making another picture. She has taken a twig, glued it on, and is drawing branches coming off of the twig.)

Gina: (voice over) And how has Emma learned to cope? By growing up. By becoming strong. (Gina holds up the picture. Coming off of one twig reads, "Brave." Off of another reads, "Courage." Off of another reads, "Strength." The music continues to play) Maybe I'm a little envious.

(Cut to Gina gluing a picture of TAAG onto a sheet of paper.)

Gina: And these days, when I close my eyes this is what I see. (Gina zooms into the picture of TAAG. They are in front of the cabin. There is snow behind them. The video fades to black.)
