Talk:Bree's religion - more speculation

Hey Modelmotion,
I see you've done a lot of work putting this page together. Do you think this would be a good place to move the Unofficial Fan Research section of the Watcher article? It seems to fit since you include Watcher in the Bree's religion topics, and since that section is mostly speculative. We could then just replace the section with a link to this article. What do you think?

So, you are suggesting that we create a page such as Watcher (Fan Research) and place it in the religion section. That works for me, but I do not know about other users. I think there was some discussion of creating a separate page but they decided to leave it. My goal is simply to make the information more accessible but clarity is also important. We have a lot of levels going on here: reality, psuedio-reality, etc etc so the more we can do to separate what we know about the storty form what specualted about the storty the better off readers will be in my opinion. If a new page is created and the data moved then it should be easy to add it to the template and religion index page as you point out.--modelmotion 14:25, 1 December 2006 (CST)
Thanks for your quick reply. I wasn't really thinking along the lines of the new article. Since the speculation part of the Watcher article draws from Biblical Apocryha, as well as the books of Enoch and Jubilees, I thought we could devote a small section of Bree's religion - more speculation to that subject and tie that in with the Watcher subject. That way the Watcher article could concern itself with just the information we know to be confirmed from the series--mentioned in a video or by the creators--and we could provide a link to this article where users could read more about the research and theorizing that fans have done about the subject. It would take a little more work than just making a new article and moving the content, but I wouldn't mind writing it up.

I would say just go ahead and make the new page without deleting the original material from the old page. Let me know the name of the new page and I will add it where needed. Once its up and running we can suggest deletion of the duplicated material on the original page and if there are objections then we go ahead. If anyone objects then we will deal with that if and when it happens.--modelmotion 19:18, 2 December 2006 (CST)

mind mapping?

This is a follow up to my comments on the template, although I said I was going to drop it. It seems to me what would really serve this topic might be a "mind map" showing the connections. That might be a big project, though, and it might be nice to have something dynamic rather than an uploaded static picture, which may be too much to ask of html. --Brucker 17:55, 1 December 2006 (CST)

Yea I am familiar with that concept and i have given it a little thought but it would be a lot of work and at this stage it more important to me at least to finish up the menu structure. I have previously applied a Venn diagram to the Breeniverse on the Canon page but getting a mind map to work well is an order of magnitude more difficult. Now if we had someone onboard who understood AJAX we could have "domains" that could be moved around in real time on a web page but that kind of programming is way above my head. --modelmotion 19:10, 2 December 2006 (CST)

purpose?

The content of this page is identical to that of the Bree's religion template that is on every article that relates to her religion. Does anyone know why? Nothing even links here. OwenIsCool 14:15, 14 January 2007 (CST)

I'm in one of those moods today where I support the deletion of just about everything. Seems like what little content is on this page could simply be relocated to the "Possible Influences of Bree's Religion" page.--JayHenry 17:30, 29 January 2007 (CST)
Nah, I'm just in one of those moods where I dig up all the articles we never should have had in the first place...  ;)
