Age

How old is Bree? I feel things like this should definately be added. --Nobackspacebutton 10:01, 8 January 2007 (CST)

I agree ;) But luckily, it says right under her picture that she's 17 and that her birthday is Oct. 26, 1989.--JayHenry 10:08, 8 January 2007 (CST)

Counting fights

I get the impression at the beginning of the Equinox video that Bree is not angry with Daniel. She doesn't call off their dinner because they're having a fight, she calls it off because she's made other plans that are more important. Therefore, I think the fight they have at the end of Learning To Drive is separated from Daniel being upset specifically for her cancelling their dinner.

Frankly though, the exact number of fights is hardly important. As with any relationship, Bree and Daniel's issues from one fight to another sort of bleed into each other. Maybe the reference to the number should be dropped? --Brucker 15:48, 10 October 2006 (PDT)

Bree template

I object strongly to the "template" in use on this page. As well as the Daniel page, Lucy page, and Gemma page. I feel that these templates are an abuse of the template system. The purpose of a template is to insert information in a simplified way, to make the wiki easier to use. These templates do the opposite. One does not put information into these templates. If you want to change any of Bree's information, you have to edit the template itself. And since Template syntax is sometimes complex, it's easy to make mistakes. We don't want only specialized users to be able to find and update "Bree's latest video." Secondly, these templates do not work properly. In the Bree template, for example. "My First Blog / Dorkiness Prevails" does not fit in its box. Furthermore, this template took a particularly interesting collage image and replaced it with a less interesting photo. That's three strikes for me. It seems that, at most, we should have a Template:Person, where the information can be inserted into the page you're editing, but frankly, I feel even that is unnecessary. The information in the template is not particularly useful. This show just doesn't have enough characters to make this array of templates useful.--JayHenry 06:33, 14 November 2006 (PST)

All they are doing is telling who they are its not that bad.--LB15 08:48, 14 November 2006 (PST)

JayHenry is correct. The use of mediawiki templates in this way is an inappropriate use of the template system. Templates are meant to take variables and insert them into a predefine layout. They should also be used when the same information needs to be included on multiple pages. Userboxes are an example of such a template.
Templates can be a backdoor for vandalism. A few days ago, when you (LB15) replaced the video section of the main page with a template, you actually circumvented the registered-user-only write protection that was in place there. Any one could have modified the main page by altering the template that formed the basis of the video information section.
I appreciate your desire to learn the templating system, but the LGpedia does not need templates that aren't functional. We certainly don't need pre-existing templates replaced with your own version if they aren't an improvement, such as when you replace the Template:Underconstruction template with your own.
The LGpedia needs a lot of work done in the area of improving and expanding its articles. I strongly encourage all users to focus their efforts on enhancing the content of the LGpedia's articles instead of the cosmetic aspects of it. -- Twjaniak 10:11, 14 November 2006 (PST)

I'm sorry but I'm not a vandal and I'm not trying to be I'm here just to help and to get this site bigger.--LB15 12:06, 14 November 2006 (PST)

In case nobody noticed, I created a bare-bones Template:Person as suggested by JayHenry above. I think it should be improved upon and used, and then these templates deleted. LB15, your templates look good, but you understand that the purpose of a template is for general usage, and not a single page, so the character templates you made are simply too specific? --Brucker 12:44, 15 November 2006 (PST)

Etymology

BREE Gender: Feminine Usage: Irish Pronounced: BREE Anglicized form of BRÍGH

BRÍGH Gender: Feminine Usage: Irish Pronounced: BREE Derived from Irish brígh meaning "power, high".

As "Brigh" means power/high, fans speculate that Bree's name may refer to her importance to the Order. It may be that her ceremony was designed as an initiation into a high position entailing power.

The video What Did Daniel and Dad Talk About? makes an implicit link between the name Bree and Brie cheese.
