I'm sorry, but I really don't like how we've labeled Lonelygirl15 as the "Predecessor to KateModern," simple because it is '''not''' a predecessor. A predecessor is defined as something that was the previous holder of the job, or something that was replaced by something else. KateModern is not replacing Lonelygirl15, it's simply a spinoff. LG15 will continue, along side KM. We need to come up with something different to use here, I just don't know what. I'll leave that up to you. --[[User:TheNunOwnedGoat|Andy]] 21:51, 17 July 2007 (CDT)

Revision as of 02:51, 18 July 2007

Should this page, instead of redirecting to Bree, discuss the Lonelygirl15 world/production/whatever? A movie or television show can't be defined solely by its primary character.

Perhaps we should have disambiguation page. Thoughts? --Twistofreality 12:35, 30 September 2006 (PDT)

Great idea. - Dharmabum420 18:15, 30 September 2006 (PDT)

Links shouldn't point to disambiguation pages

...or so I believe I've read somewhere. It may be a very big side project, but (just about) all pages that link here should be fixed to link to the appropriate actual page, don't you think?. --Brucker 13:10, 14 November 2006 (PST)

I assume most of the pages should point to Lonelygirl15 (production). I could do this with the bot, but I'm wondering if we need this disambig page at all. I don't think that 'lonelygirl15' is used to refer to Bree very often. A disambig line at the top of the page pointing to Bree would be sufficient, I think. Thoughts?--Jonpro 14:15, 24 March 2007 (CDT)
I think what Jonpro suggested is the way to go on this one. While we're on the subject. I think there's instances of "Lonelygirl15" floating about mid-sentence. I'm pretty sure it should be lowercase "lonelygir15". OwenIsCool 15:15, 24 March 2007 (CDT)
Okay, if no one objects, I think I'll move Lonelygirl15 (production) to Lonelygirl15 soon and fix the redirects that result and the capitalization of "Lonelygirl15" with our trusty LGBot.--Jonpro 22:55, 25 March 2007 (CDT)
I disagree with moving lonelygirl15(production) to lonelygirl15. lonleygirl15 is first and formost, Bree's online identity, or does everyone think that Bree has just become a character in a TV series named lonleygirl15, and has ceased to be an online personality Misty 02:09, 26 March 2007 (CDT)
I understand that "lonelygirl15" refers to Bree in a very direct way, but I see the term as applying more to the series than the character. Perhaps I have been spending too much time on the LGPedia where Bree is always called "Bree" and not other places where Bree is referred to as "lonelygirl15". Still, it seems that a disambiguation page that lists two items is not very helpful. It doesn't make sense to move Bree to Lonelygirl15, so to me it makes sense to move Lonelygirl15 (production) to Lonelygirl15 and have a line at the top that says something like "This page is about the lonelygirl15 series. For the character, see Bree." That's just my opinion; it's not like there's really a right or wrong answer.--Jonpro 10:52, 26 March 2007 (CDT)
I think I agree with Jonpro. Nobody has referred to Bree as LG in a long time, and when people say "I love LG15" it's clear that they mean the show. Also, MM&G have said in several recent interviews that lonelygirl15 will continue after Jessica Lee Rose leaves. So it's clear that they're thinking of lonelygirl15 as the show, and not as much the character. --JayHenry 12:40, 26 March 2007 (CDT)
Any other opinions? If not, I think we can go ahead and make the move.--Jonpro 00:07, 2 April 2007 (CDT)

Lowercase template?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Lowercase I don't get the fancy code on this page. Does anyone think we ought to use it here? --Brucker 19:00, 8 February 2007 (CST)

My question is... lonelygirl15, or Lonelygirl15? Which one is right? both? on the lonelygirl15.com website, it says "A Tribute to Lonelygirl15", so it seems the Creators don't mind capitalizing it. I think it could be nice to lowercase it, I'm just not sure if it's correct. *shrugs* thoughts anyone? OwenIsCool 22:48, 8 February 2007 (CST)

Does Anyone Think...?

That the real thelema people might come after the lg15 people for the way they depict thelema?

Thelma is a pretty broad description. I think it is more likely that they have inside knowledge of the workings of the "religion" they are basing this on or more likely it is a totally ficticious religion based on a composite of other religions. Most of the true "religions" of this nature depend on "the secret" being kept and and would not allow the secret to be revealed. However force is not the only way to do this.

Cleanup Still Apply?

This page has had a cleanup tag on it for a while. Do people still believe it is in need of a cleanup? If so, what are people looking for the page to have that it currently doesn't? My vote is to just remove the plot summary and simply link to The Story So Far... Other than that, I think it's fine. What does everyone else think? Comment please!! --Zoey 20:34, 13 May 2007 (CDT)

Well, the idea was that this article would give a comprehensive overview to the world of lonelygirl15, as in, if you only read one article on the whole wiki, you could read this one and understand the basics. So, I really like having the article have really condensed versions of The Story So Far... and The Hunt For Bree. The article could still use sections on the reception the show has received, the major news events that have happened around the production (i.e. VH1 Big in 06 Award, Katharine McPhee, IceBreakers gum and KateModern). --JayHenry 21:45, 13 May 2007 (CDT)

Silly templates!

Can someone who knows about templates please see what can be done about listing more characters? As I stated in my revisions, after 6 of them (item16), they just don't show up. ~ Jbshryne 23:53, 20 May 2007 (CDT)

I'll put that on my to-do list for tomorrow. --JayHenry 00:00, 21 May 2007 (CDT)
