I'm just wondering how anyone could possibly solve that puzzle... 71.224.243.78 23:45, 6 February 2007 (CST)

I agree with he who refuses to login to an account. The puzzle is essentially unsolvable. Why Four Square and not the more common expression "square 1" or 2 as in "2-square cipher" or "sum of 2 squares"? Why would RIP Stephen refer to his age of 34 and not 35 the year he died, or 31 the year he actually died, or 73 because he's buried in Acts 7:3, or 83 as in August 3 his feast day, or 1 since he's the first martyr? And since when is lust the 7th? It sure as crap wasn't when I had to read Dante's Divine Comedy. It was the first. [NOTE: I believe "lust" was the second circle of Hell, after "Limbo/righteous infidels". I think Lust is supposed to be the seventh "deadly sin", although I wasn't aware they came in a specific order.--Brucker 19:30, 7 February 2007 (CST)] And if it was first in Dante, you can be sure it was first when Pope Gregory created 'em. My assumption is that they figure out parts of the puzzle, but that a puppet of the gamemaster feeds them the rest of the answer, either that or they just call dozens of different numbers until they get a message. 818-574-8347 is no more logical than 818-571-8831 or any of a hundred other combos.--JayHenry 12:26, 7 February 2007 (CST)
Yeah, I'm with you, there were a lot of combos... check out the forum thread, they tried out a ton! Apparently the crew was chatting on the IRC while working and trying different possible numbers. That's one reason why I don't work out the puzzles (too much work!), I just document the solution once it's up! OwenIsCool 18:34, 7 February 2007 (CST)
And, my bad, St. Stephen died in either 34 or 35 AD... 34 was not his age, I mistranscribed. OwenIsCool 19:39, 7 February 2007 (CST) (Btw, "Love is the Seventh Wave" had to be one of Sting's worst songs ever, imo!)

Um, could Lust be in a different order in the Bible where its mentioned in the Old Testament? Either way, it's been solved! Uber W00t to the Oppy Code Crackers! -- Nieriel.Manwathiel

But Brucker, righteous infidelism isn't one of the seven deadly sins. The seven deadly sins in Dante start with lust. I'm quite sure of it. Those in limbo, after all, had no sin but their refusal or chronological/historical inability to accept Christ. And, I'll stop after this, because we're pretty far off-topic, but the seven deadly sins aren't biblical like the ten commandments. Though it's clear from the bible that all seven are no-nos, the list wasn't created until centuries later. Anyways... three cheers to OIC for the most coherent puzzle page on the whole wiki.--JayHenry 20:28, 7 February 2007 (CST)

This is mostly just me being curious. I just noticed that the Semiotics puzzle page already has 700+ views and it hasn't even been a week since I started work on the page. Bree Phone Home puzzle was also popular and has over 2,000 views at the time of this writing. However, poor little Miss Me? puzzle doesn't even have 500 views. Since the other puzzle pages are so popular, it left me wondering whether we didn't make the link to this visible enough on the Miss Me? video page. Or perhaps there could be another reason why people were so much less interested in this puzzle? Again, just me wondering what makes this one puzzle page so much less visited than the rest.
