When an action occurs within a line of dialog, it should be written without a capital letter starting it, and with no ending punctuation. When an action occurs by itself, on a separate line, it should start with a capital letter and end with a period. This is the way that the transcripts were being written when I first started editing the 'Pedia, and in fact closely resembles the way that many published "dramatic" scripts (as opposed to screenplays, which are entirely different) are written. And personally, I think that examples like (Winks.) look very awkward with the capitalization and punctuation.

However, that's just my opinion, and since I'm not as active on the 'Pedia nowadays, I'm not gonna fight ya on it. ~ JBSHRYNE 16:13, 5 February 2008 (CST)
