Reed

Since Reed is probably an actor playing Reed in LG15: The Resistance is it really accurate to say that he is played by himself?--modelmotion 11:38, 4 September 2008 (CDT)

He himself has stated that he is not canon, and the creators have acknowledged it as well. --FH14, 4 September 2008 (EST)
There's too much elements that contradicts with that : the fact that depite the "Community video" status of his videos he is not talking at all about the Breeniverse, and he's always on the LG15-lonelygirl15 webpage even though he, I repeat, is not talking about LG15, is a perfect example. And the fact he never really posted on the forum except... to talk about his videos, ignoring the "You're canon" accusations, is weird : a non-canon guy would answer to that eventually. So, ok, he said he is not canon (as a canon should do, "in-character" style), and the creators said it as well (even though they are members of the "Reed is canon" group on Facebook (with Alexandra Dreyfus)), but I don't think it would be a good idea to "trust" it. Didn't the creators said to the press that it will be more interactivity ? If so, a "community member" isn't a perfect in-character to improve interactivity ? I'm not saying we sould say Reed is canon, or Reed is not canon. All I'm saying is we don't know, and I think the creators would cover their "surprise" if Reed is really canon. So, we better advance hypothesis and not saying things "for certain". MrTriangleRenversé 16:21, 4 September 2008 (CDT)
He is sooo canon. Just watch--modelmotion 20:42, 4 September 2008 (CDT)
Quote from him : "um… wow. i had no idea they’d feature my second vid… of course, it may not have helped that I bugged the crap out of Amanda to do so. yes, perhaps I am cannon… perhaps not… if I see Jonas or Sarah around Chicago, I’ll let you guys know." (source : LG15 Today). He is not saying he is not canon anymore... MrTriangleRenversé 03:34, 5 September 2008 (CDT)
The fact that he mentioned Amanda seems to indicate that he's not canon, as he's acknowledging that the show isn't real --FH14 12:01, 5 September 2008 (EST)
Reed mentioned Amanda on the Comment page, an out-of-character area. In-character comments are located in the forum. Also, if he had mentioned Amanda in a video, that would be in-character as well.Apo 13:01, 5 September 2008 (CDT)
As stated by the creators we all exist as "characters" in game. That means that Amanda exists as a "character in game" and hence has both an in game and an out of game personna.--modelmotion 22:37, 5 September 2008 (CDT)
And Amanda's "in character" persona apparently includes the power to determine what videos appear in the video box on lg15.com. This is not unprecedented though, that is exactly what Bukanator was intended to be. Of course, in this case, Reed is not canon. --Milowent 22:41, 5 September 2008 (CDT)
The only clear guide we have is that a character cannot cause physical harm to a "real person". For example, Adam Lamar could kill Clara, but Clara could not kill Adam Lamar as he existed outside of his character role. --modelmotion 22:57, 5 September 2008 (CDT)
Of course you would find that rule, mm, that sounds like the First Law of Robotics. :-) --Milowent 07:39, 6 September 2008 (CDT)

What gave it away for me was 1. that his myspace profile says he is 18. Yeah right! And 2. he signed up at the message boards like a day or two before his video was featured. Anyway, we now know. I am guessing he will be playing a "fan" who joins The Resistance.--Jenlight 10:50, 10 September 2008 (CDT)

Actually, he joined July 22, before the lonelygirl15 finale. He was actively commenting during the finale too. :) --Broken Kid 12:54, 10 September 2008 (CDT)

Now that we know Reed is canon, this page should probably be renamed "reedabook", which is his username, or Reed (his character). reedabook99 is his YT account (because "reedabook" was already taken, presumably). --Broken Kid 09:15, 10 September 2008 (CDT)
