Valid point, however it might be a good thing to keep the screencaps. Older computers/browsers or computers who do not have the proper language installed may not be able to see the non-English text and will instead see a bunch of question marks. --Andy 11:57, 22 November 2006 (CST)

The reason that i have used screen captures is because text is just too easy to modify. Yes, I could modifty the screen capture but that would take more work and show up under forensic analysis. I also provide a link to the original source material so that allows users to copy the actual text if they want to do their own research. I believe this is the most accurate way to document that this was information taken directly from the chat and not some fake or modified text that was added to the LGpedia.--modelmotion 12:45, 22 November 2006 (CST)

From deleted Grigori page

According to Wikipedia, Grigori "are a group of fallen angels told of in Biblical apocrypha who mated with mortal women, giving rise to a race of giants known as the Nephilim. Also known as "Watchers" (from Greek egrḗgoroi), the Grigori appear in the booksEnoch and Jubilees". Book of Enoch is an Angelic teaching which also equals the storyline.

The Deacons (commenter) (aka Deacons (commenter)) have now made several references to Grigori. This seem to tied in with what Gemma described as a Watcher.

Regarding deletion

The Deacons are fanfiction, but I find it irritating how much credit people give them on the comments boards. Some genuinely think they are canon. Their own breed of fanfiction is, well, original, and this poster is very prolific. However, the article is pathetically out-of-date since it tries to include all their comments. Perhaps rather than deleting it needs to be rewritten as a fanfiction piece, without giving such great emphasis on the speculation that they are canon. Now if Bree went and said "Well Deacons, I've been reading your posts and..." then of course we'd give them credit. OwenIsCool 19:08, 16 January 2007 (CST)

I don't agree with all these pictures uploaded to show those lame umim and thummim posts. I really don't even like calling main page comments from an anonymous person fanfic either. Back then anyone could post with any name, and they didn't have to do a thing to create that but type. Umim+Th don't belong anywhere, and I'd rather The Deacons (commenter) not be on here either. It's long past anyway, as The Deacons have gone into hiding now that they'd actually have to sign up to make their "fanfic" posts. -lord grey?

I don't see any reason to delete the page entirely. But I agree we can dump the enormous screen captures of the quotes, and condense it to a reasonable length. I don't have a problem with pages on fan-fiction as long as they quickly and clearly identify themselves as fan-fiction.--JayHenry 21:48, 16 January 2007 (CST)

I might not get around to it right now, but I'll see what I can do to reword it, summarize it, and bring it up to date. People think they're gone bc the page is out-of-date, but they've been posting as "Deacons", even so recently as to scold Bree after the "Bree And I Hooked Up" video. I'm not a big fan of them either, but we should still cover them because many fans at the comment boards LOVE them and they cheer when a new post comes up and analyze it painstakingly. The Deacons are a fanfic if nothing else. they are fans playing along with the story, just by words on the comment page instead of a video. theyre differant, thats all. prehaps the page needs to be edited but the posts should stay here, i think they may be relevant in the future and alot of people find them interesting.Abba12 05:19, 17 January 2007 (CST)
