Flashbang Grenade.

Yes..it's not a bomb.. Flashbang Grenade is definitely the correct term. Good work....that bomb stuff was buggin me. --LordGreystoke422 10:35, 11 February 2007 (CST)

    • It was driving me insane ;)
I fixed the description of the grenade in this article. Somebody incorrectly proclaimed that the blast would have caused serious injury in the elevator but Bree had somehow escaped being unharmed. Here is the correct entry.
The flashbang grenade is a type of stun grenade that incapacitates by letting off a deafening blast and a blinding flash of light. Being in a small elevator with a flashbang would cause about 5 seconds of blindness and a temporary loss of balance due to the blast that disturbs the fluid in the semicircular canals of the ear. Since the grenade remains entirely intact and there is no shrapnel or fragmentation, no serious injury occurs from the device. --Binvolian 16:51, 12 February 2007 (CST)

Gemma.

Why does this video give me the feeling that maybe Gemma's alive? Somehow it makes me think that Tachyon and Brother are simply hiding her somewhere. I hope so. Gemma's one of my favorite characters. ~ Katt

This whole video is highly reminiscent of Gemma (Part IV). I'm surprised that all the people who have at many times in the past argued that, for instance, Miss Me? was an OpAphid video aren't arguing that this is a Tachyon video. --Brucker 11:06, 12 February 2007 (CST)
Ahh, but I totally think it is! I'm just kind of overwhelmed with all the merging... and from the looks of it, the other Tachyon vids weren't merged over like Op was... were they? Me confused. OwenIsCool 11:53, 12 February 2007 (CST)
I'd say it is fairly clear (at least to me) that this is the first video with the duel bloggership of Daniel & Tachyon. Clearly the LGPedia was never designed for such a happenstance.Terryfic 12:00, 12 February 2007 (CST)
I think this one is pretty clear cut. "Daniel here on Bree's account." That clearly settles the issue of authorship. Then in the notes, we can say "had some help editing this video" likely refers to Tachyon.--JayHenry 12:15, 12 February 2007 (CST)
Maybe Gemma was working for Tachyon and the Order and made those videos to dispel OpAphid from thinking she was involved with Tachyon.
It may be a long stretch but I really hope Gemma comes back. -Em

Why is it that Miss Me? is still listed as an OpAphid video? We need not only to resolve issues like this, but perhaps try and come up with a protocol for determining official authorship of a video. --Brucker 18:24, 12 February 2007 (CST)

i'd support a protocol of some sort.--JayHenry 09:51, 13 February 2007 (CST)

Helicopter.

I just thought that it should be mentioned that since new information has led to the assumption that Tachyon has been the one flying the helicopter, shouldn't we consider the option that it could be Brother flying it all this time? Reason being: When Bree says "If she says we can trust him, we can trust him." - and we're assuming that "She" refers to Tachyon, and that "Him" is Brother - then is it too far fetched to assume that they ran into Tachyon, who instructed them to head to the roof to meet Brother in the waiting helicopter? And, the fact that since Tachyon has supposedly been in Fiji, Brother has actually been around Bree's location (as evidenced by the Gemma videos) flying the helicopter all this time? - Brighteyes1701 12:31, 12 February 2007 (MST)

Good point, Brighteyes. I changed the note so it says that it could be Brother or Tachyon who operate the helicopters. How Tachyon has the funds to purchase a helicopter -- or how Brother got clearance from Los Angeles Air-Traffic Control to fly a helicopter over the city... well, that's another issue.--JayHenry 15:10, 12 February 2007 (CST)

flashbang grenades

Somebody erased my note on flashbangs.

  • A flashbang grenade is a type of stun grenade that lets off a deafening blast and a blinding flash of light. Being in a small elevator with a flashbang would likely result in severe burns, temporary blindness and permanent hearing and balance damage. Bree, however, appears unharmed.

And replaced it with:

  • The flashbang grenade is a type of stun grenade that incapacitates by letting off a deafening blast and a blinding flash of light.

I believe this second note is inaccurate. Flashbangs are non-lethal, but they're not non-injurious. They let off a blast of around 180 decibels. Anything above 140 can cause permanent hearing damage. And they often cause fires. My reference: Slate on flashbangs. And this is what they can do on a crowded street, the effects would be dramatically amplified in a 100 cubic foot elevator. --JayHenry 16:53, 12 February 2007 (CST)

I got my reference to it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flash_grenade#Stun_grenades --Binvolian 17:29, 12 February 2007 (CST)
I edited the note to be more open to the idea of the blast possibly causing serious injury inside an elevator. --Binvolian 17:52, 12 February 2007 (CST)
Thanks, Binvolian! I like the rewrite.--JayHenry 09:51, 13 February 2007 (CST)

Second floor

That note about the second floor irks me. The implication of the video in my mind was not that what we saw took place on the top of the building, but that the top of the building was the location where the Order's headquarters were located. Obviously, Lucy et al. came down to the second floor to perform the exchange. I'm inclined to just erase the note, but maybe a rewording would be better? --Brucker 18:21, 12 February 2007 (CST)

I'm not so sure. If you were at a second floor elevator wouldn't the sensible thing be hop out a window to a getaway van -- instead of running to the roof and escaping via helicopter? Oh wait, I'm trying to apply "sense" to it...--JayHenry 09:51, 13 February 2007 (CST)
I tried rewording the note, but if you still feel it should be erased, maybe that'd be best? --tai 08:32, 15 February 2007 (CST)
