Edit Etiquette

I'm a little confused on the etiquette of editing quotes. There are some obvious errors in the translation, and I'm not just talking about ones caused by language barriers. It should be "Bree Avery," not "Bree Averry," and it should be "affect," not "effect." Do I just put [sic] after the errors, or do I go ahead and correct them? --Phisho 20:06, 24 April 2008 (EST)

Just correct them. I've already edited it a bit because the original poster admitted she was bad at English and was mostly unfamiliar with the series. (The Averry thing is a typo on my part trying to fix an already-existent name error. OOOPS!) Also, for the record, if that was an actual quote, [sic] would be appropriate. However, translations generally aren't considered to be quotes, so they can be freely edited when there are errors. - Shiori 19:09, 24 April 2008 (CDT)
