While the present textual information may be correct and neatly formatted, it would be a lot more pleasant to the eye and easier to read if somebody added fitting images to it.
Taylor and Sarah's parents were first mentioned by Taylor in the video First Video (I know, lame title) -- or rather, their mother was mentioned. Taylor's father wasn't discussed until her second video blog. The two are currently separated, having done so in early 2007.

Taylor and Sarah's dad is reportedly embarrassed by his ex-wife's overbearing antics, and would actually prefer watching Taylor's soccer games from the car than deal with getting sent away from the field because of his wife's aggression. According to Taylor, Sarah and her father saw things eye-to-eye and got along "like peas and carrots." Sarah, on the other hand, describes their father as being obsessed with Taylor as well, suggesting that all they did together as a family was take "Taylor to do soccer drills at the park." It was later revealed that the girls' parents separated because of their father's "mid-life crisis" involving a young lady around the age of 19.

It is during Sarah's return to Zavalla, that she discovers that her father is a member of The Order. When she confronts him about this, he then makes her keep quiet about it, or else he would kill Taylor and her mother. She becomes extremely scared and depressed, and throws herself into having one night stands with random guys. Her father allows Sarah to go out from under his gaze and back to her friends if she agreed to spy for the Order. She reluctantly agreed, and admits to Taylor that she has "done something horrible", but she doesn't go into specifics, fearing for Taylor's safety. She made to return to California with the serum, and begins to tell Emma to make her own decisions and not rely too much on Jonas's judgement.

However, the goings-on of Taylor and Sarah's parents aren't mentioned for four months, as Taylor has taken a break from blogging in order to focus back on school. However, Taylor begins blogging again after a boy named Jack contacted her through the website whatweird.com. During the following drama, Taylor reveals that her parents are not on speaking terms, and uses it to her advantage by telling each of them that she is staying at the other's house when she goes on the (short-lived) run with Jack.

Taylor and Sarah's dad's first appearance...

In July, while Taylor is cleaning out the attic, she discovers one of her father's old suitcases. It contains his belongings from college, including mail from the Hymn of One stamped with the seal of Lord Carruthers. Taylor is floored, and rushes to make a video even though she hasn't made one in months. As she blogs, her father (whom Taylor hasn't seen in ages) arrives at the house, walks up to Taylor and turns the camera off. He later claims that he had locked himself out of his house and had gone to Taylor's house to get the spare key. However, in the next video, TAAG breaks into Sarah and Taylor's father's home and find many items relating to The Order and Aleister Crowley in his guestroom closet, and it is later revealed that he is the watchman for the cemetary of the Elders in Zavalla, and helped orchestrate the plot with Jules and manipulated Taylor without her knowledge. Then, Taylor is kidnapped by her father and The Order, wanting Jonas in return for Taylor's life, as Sarah had let TAAG become too aware of The Order's plans.

Sarah pleads for Daniel's forgiveness, but he gives her the cold shoulder. She knocks him out with a vase, determined to keep Taylor safe from her dad's wrath. She joins her father and Carruthers, but secretly helps TAAG locate Taylor and informs them of Jonas's location on the day of the ascension, and sends Daniel a picture of him to prove he is still alive. Sarah explains that the Order believes her father to be the great leader Aleister Crowley prophesied would come, and that he was ascending to the rank of an Elder.

Taylor and Sarah's mom, according to Taylor, is really aggressive about sports. She constantly pushes Taylor to be the best to such an extreme that she considers phrases such as "it's not important that you win, it's how you play the game," or "All that matters is that you had fun," to be loser talk. Sarah describes her as one to drive her crazy and that she, "would be a lot happier if I was gone. Vanished. Good riddance." It was later revealed that the girls' parents separated because of their father's "mid-life crisis" involving a young lady around the age of 19. Taylor says that consequently, her mom thinks she has license to fool around with 20-something men from the nearby community college. She even flirts with Jonas, much to his embarrassment and Taylor's displeasure.

Sarah and her mother had a talk in which Sarah's summer plans about a roadtrip were brought up. As Sarah reunited with Daniel and Jonas days later, it is safe to assume that their mother agreed. Not long after, Taylor had an argument with her mother, and Taylor told her mother that maybe she should "get out of the house for a while and spend the summer in California with Sarah." To her surprise, her mother agreed, and told to to go ahead and pack. Taylor is shocked by how much her mother has changed from when she was a "uptight, strict soccer mom".

After Bree's death, Sarah started dating a bunch of guys in order to take her mind off of Daniel. To her dismay, she discovers that her mother has seduced one of her dates and that they are going out. Sarah is happy that he's not as young as her previous boyfriend, though he is still in his twenties. Her mother's actions make Sarah realize that she is doing the same thing as her mom: throwing herself at guys in order to cope with a broken relationship (Taylor tells them at one point that "You and Mom deserve each other"). Though it is clear that her mother sees no similarities, as she calls her daughter a whore.

However, the goings-on of Taylor and Sarah's parents aren't mentioned for four months, as Sarah re-joins TAAG, and Taylor has taken a break from blogging in order to focus back on school.

The next summer, Taylor's mom decides that its time to move forward with her life after the divorce, and puts her house up for sale. While Taylor is cleaning out the attic, she discovers one of her father's old suitcases. The following series of events reveals that Sarah has been working for the Order after her father threatened to kill her mother and sister.
