Terry is the one-hundred ninety-fifth webisode in the KateModern video series. It is also the fortieth video of season two.

Transcript

(Steve is walking down Brick Lane, toward the murder scene. He spots a cat in the middle of the street, which meows as he passes. A few more shots of the road are shown before Steve arrives at the scene; an airplane can be heard in the background.)

Steve: This is how it goes. All traces gone. (Looks at the wall.) Any sense of what happened here. (Sits on the curb. Steve uncorks a liquor bottle with his teeth and takes a drink.) No Kate, no Rupert... I looked inside and all I had was them. No amnesia. (Laughs.) Gets worse before it gets better. I screwed it. Crash and burn. (Drinks from the bottle again.)

I'm still here. It's backward. Got nowhere, got nothing. Got no one.

(Steve gets up. Cut to Steve walking down a street. Cut to the Hymn of One centre. Steve sits on the front steps with his liquor bottle and a lit cigarette in his hand.)

So I heard what Michelle said about me. Ze Clawster! Well, screw the Claw, and the stone she crawled out from. (Drinks from the bottle.) Don't blame them; dump it on the screw-up! It's easy when things go your way. Faith. So we turn. (Drinks from the bottle again.)

Terrence: Your eternal song's always there for you. (Steve moves the camera to show Terrence standing on the steps.) Sometimes the volume's down low, or our ears are blocked. Or sometimes the intro's too long. But you've finally come to the right place. Have you heard of the Hymn of One? Look, don't worry, I'm not gonna start singing at you. Unless you want me to. (Laughs.) I'm kidding.

Well, I've been s- through some, uh, bad stuff lately. End of last year was tough for me. A lot of things came to a boil and I didn't recognize who I saw in the mirror. (Sits down next to Steve.) It's all right. You can, uh, carry on filming, if you like. It's good to share your demons. (Holds up several Hymn of One pamphlets.) The Hymn's been helping me through it all.

So, you new in town? Maybe I can help you hear your song through all this noise. I'm Terry. (Extends his hand.)

What the hell's happened to Terrence??? Did he nick that jumper off Noel Edmonds? In the 70s?
