The Deacons (commenter)

This article is about the fanfiction comment board user that posts under the name "The Deacons" and more recently, "Deacons". For the Deacons of the Order as portrayed in the series, see The Deacons.

"The Deacons" began posting in the comment board on the lonelygirl15 website following the video Life's Not Fair. Their messages mainly warned Bree of the consequences of her running away, and beseeched her to return to them, although they replied to Daniel and Gemma videos, as well. The posts were cryptic, often involving the use of semitic languages and biblical references.

The posts were originally thought to be canon, but were discovered as fan fiction due to contradictory posts and an unfulfilled promise of a video from Bree's parents. When The Deacons first began posting, the username was not registered, which lead to unrelated users mocking the posts; this further solidified the belief that the posters were not canon.

It was later discovered that community member Marcus was behind the postings of The Deacons. Marcus confessed following suspicion from players, as he had retrieved two drops from The Deacons.
