Transcript

(Daniel sighs)

Daniel: Okay, it's almost 2008, and I know you're not suppose to say it--you're not even suppose to think it! But what is up with chicks? I mean, Sarah. She's one of the most together--well, maybe not together--but she's definitely one of the most independent ladies I have ever met. But did you see that last posting of hers? Song circle, or love with a small "L"? I dunno. Maybe if I were down there with all those Hymn of Oners and the desert, too, frying my brain, then maybe I would be singing "Kumbaya," too. I'd like to think not, but who knows? Okay, and then yesterday, I get this crazy message from Mallory saying that she wants to--. You know what? I think it'd be better for you to see. So, here we go.

(moves hands up, saying, "Wah!" Mallory's video begins.)

Mallory: I hate-I hate having to talk to you like this. I just wish we could talk on the telephone, or in person.

(Mallory's video is cut short. Daniel whistles)

Daniel: Blah, blah, blah! (gets closer to the camera) Let's get to the good stuff.

(Mallory's video is fast forwarded then stops)

Mallory: (singing)
Rain drops all day and fleas on my kitten;
emails I've mailed that I'd wish I'd not written;
apologies that I have sent you too late:
these are a few of the things that I hate.

Left over pizza, and mold in my yogurt;
whacking my kneecap and waiting for the hurt;
kissing my teacher, that just doesn't rate:
these are a few of the things that I hate.

When the sun shines,
when dessert's great,
when I'm feeling glad,
I simply remember you won't talk to me,
and then I do feel...so...bad.

(Mallory's video ends)

Daniel: Right, and what I hate most? Is a lying cheating tramp. But moving on. Jennie, if you're watching this, please let me know how to find you guys. I mean, if it's not too late, I'd really like to take a crack at getting Sarah outta there. (hold out hands) Not that she's a damsel in distress or anything, though she kinda is. (sighs) Well, what I said before about chicks, (hold out a hand to mean Jennie) I didn't mean you. I hope. I mean, you seem like a sensible woman. And I'd really like to think that there's at least one of you out there. Okay, well, that's all for now.

(makes peace sign before ending video)

Notes

  • This video shows that Mallory is still trying to restore her relationship with Daniel, despite the poll results.
  • Daniel directly critiques the feminist themes.
  • The song Mallory sings is a parody of the song "My Favorite Things" from The Sound of Music.
  • Betz28 (who sang the song used in the Lonelygirl15 crew 2007 holiday video) posted a spoof of Mallory's song called Tired of Plotholes.
