Welcome!

Hey, I just saw that you created a userpage and noticed that no one had welcomed you to LGPedia yet. I see from your contributions that you've been helping on and off since February (and maybe more with your IP address???). Anyway, thanks for helping out and I hope that you find the community here inviting and have a fun time editing. If you ever have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page or the talk page of any of the other administrators. Again, thanks for your help and happy editing!--Jonpro 22:53, 10 April 2007 (CDT)

Thanks a bunch! Yes, I'm terrible about logging in, but I've finally gotten around to adding the site to my "safe cookies" page, so hopefully I'll just stay logged on from now on. Thanks again, and I'll see you around :) --Zoey 23:04, 10 April 2007 (CDT)
Hey, no problem. And you (among others who seem to forget to log in) inspired me to create {{Userbox IP}}. Just thought I'd let you know :)--Jonpro 23:20, 10 April 2007 (CDT)

Welcome, also! Thanks for helping out with the Nikki B. pages. Psmith 14:20, 12 April 2007 (CDT)

Divide and conquer

Nice work on adding those lengths! I made Category:Videos by length if you care to see them in order.--Jonpro 23:31, 11 April 2007 (CDT)

*passes out* That was highly tedious. Thanks for your help! --Zoey 23:38, 11 April 2007 (CDT)

Sorry about today's transcript. I didn't mean to step on your toes, but I had already typed that, so I went ahead and added it. --Truncatedslinky 22:55, 9 May 2007 (CDT)

Lol no worries, I saw what you had done before I got too far and just ended up editing it into mine :) --Zoey 23:00, 9 May 2007 (CDT)

Zoey, you are my hero!

For the incredible amount of work you've done categorizing and adding lengths and transcripts I award you the LG15 Hardwork Medal! Thanks for all your help! --JayHenry 16:55, 13 April 2007 (CDT)

Wow, thanks a TON! --Zoey 20:54, 13 April 2007 (CDT)

I just wanted to say how much I love the Relationships page. Thank you so much for this, and all your hard work on it. Chelseyrl 22:37, 3 May 2007 (CDT)

WOW, that's definitely the fastest anybody's ever made it to the awesome club. It took me half a year. You did it in a month! --JayHenry 18:37, 13 May 2007 (CDT)

Caption Category

It's all you, Zoey. I saw your "Stuff I'm Working On" section on your user page and thought that the word "caption" deserved to have a link too. It's only fair after all :). Anyway, do you (or anyone else) have other ideas for other things to keep track of like Category:Videos needing captions? Not just for videos, but other things as well. It seems that those kinds of categories could be very useful for people looking for ways to help out here.--Jonpro 19:42, 24 April 2007 (CDT)

Yay! Hm, can't think of anything off the top of my head, but I'll let you know if I come up with any. You're right, these categories are very useful for people looking to help out with the Wiki... like myself! :) --Zoey 21:16, 30 April 2007 (CDT)
One thing OIC and I talked about was adding a category for pages needing frequent updating -- for example the character pages (which need updated with plot developments and last appearances), The Story So Far..., the Breeniverse Timeline and any other page that needs pretty frequent updating. If we had those in a category it could be something to include at LGPedia:tasks and the community portal. --JayHenry 23:08, 30 April 2007 (CDT)

A question for you

Zoey, As you've probably noticed, some of the admins on the LGPedia aren't very active these days. Due to our laziness, poor Jonpro has been stuck doing way too much of the work. Plus, we need an extra hand on deck to watch for vandals and make sure they get stopped fast. To cut to the chase, would you be interested in being an admin? With over 1,500 edits you've certainly proved your dedication. And your upbeat attitude has not gone unappreciated! Let me know if you're interested or have any questions. Thanks!--JayHenry 22:15, 7 May 2007 (CDT)

Oh wow. I'm totally.. shocked and flattered.. and a bunch of other really cheesy words that go with thank you speeches :P. I've never actually been an admin on a wiki before, so I don't really know what it entails? I mean, I definately know about blocking spam.. and stuff, but I've never actually done that on a Wiki before? I would totally love to be an admin here, but I'd be a bit worried that I'm kind of.. inexperienced? Would there be a er.. "learning curve" with the job? Haha. --Zoey 00:13, 9 May 2007 (CDT)
Oh, definitely. I had never been an admin before until I became one here, but there's really not that much involved. Basically, you can delete pages, block users, protect pages, "rollback" edits easily, and edit fully protected pages. The biggest change for me was just a heightened sense of responsibility since I was seen as having more authority. Of course, I always had good ol' Jay, OiC, and Brucker to look up to for help. I'm sure you'll do fine. Oh, and this is why I didn't respond to your email about the images right away, because we were discussing this and I thought I'd wait to see how it turned out. Anyway, I think you'll be a great admin, so you have my support at least :)--Jonpro 00:24, 9 May 2007 (CDT)
Yeah, what Jonpro said. I had done next to nothing with Wikis before October. After a nasty wave of Allen Smithee-related vandalism only a month later, they asked me if I wanted to be an admin here. I said "uh... sure!" You learn fast. If you make mistakes, it's not like at The Mother Ship where somebody will go nuts at you. And, like Jonpro said, you can always ask us for help if you need to. --JayHenry 00:33, 9 May 2007 (CDT)
Hum, okay I think I'll give it a try! I, of course, make no promises as to the quality of my admin-ship, but I would love to continue helping out in any way I can, and this seems like a really big way to do so! So um, my answer is yes! And hopefully I don't screw up *too* badly :D YAY! What do I have to do to get this set up? And um, is there someplace I can read about how to do all the admin actions? And er.. yeah! --Zoey 18:04, 9 May 2007 (CDT)
There's a short guide at wikimedia.org. Feel free to test the tools out at User:Zoey/sandbox or somewhere like that. There's not much too it, and I'm sure you'll learn fast. --JayHenry 18:12, 9 May 2007 (CDT)

Ceremony Baby

I know anything amusing is eventually doomed to deletion these days, but I appreciate your support. --Milowent 00:46, 10 May 2007 (CDT)

Haha sure. --Zoey 12:19, 20 May 2007 (CDT)

Multiple Location Galleries

Why did you revert my edits? I made them multiple galleries so that they wouldn't overlap with the side location template. Now it overlaps again. silverX3 11:29, 20 May 2007 (CDT)

Hm, on my computer it is not overlapping. Mutliple galleries looked tacky because there were so many boxes around the images. Let me see if theres a way within the gallery template itself to make the number of images displayable per line 3... --Zoey 11:39, 20 May 2007 (CDT)

Community Portal Hacking/You missed one

You finished off User:88.241.134.60 - but the majority of "hacking" was done by User:88.227.12.136.

Woops, thanks for catching that! --Zoey 12:19, 20 May 2007 (CDT)

Your browser , font's,etc

On Template_talk:Init I shared my discovery about missing fonts causing the stars to not show up. I was wondering how it reflects your setup.

  1. what browser/version do you use?
  2. do you have MS Office installed?
  3. if not, would you be willing to install the Code2000 font and see if that fixed it?

-misty 14:00, 20 May 2007 (CDT)

I have IE6, and I do have MS Office installed on my computer. I'm fine with downloading a font, but I really don't think that would be the best solution? Because honestly, I don't think I'm the only one having this problem, and since we can't really make everyone download a new font, we should try to come up with something that will work with the settings a person already has. JMO. --Zoey 16:08, 20 May 2007 (CDT)
Well I don't think thats the answer either,I'm just trying to get a better grasp of the scope of the problem. Personally, I'm sick of not being able to do cool things because we have to work around Microshit Windows and Internet Exploder. -misty 18:09, 20 May 2007 (CDT)
